At first I was thinking the scenes with Adam Rodriguez were going to be a dream sequence, but now I’m not so sure.  Betty gets a (fake) tattoo – I guess meeting her schoolgirl crush Bobby has caused her to explore her rebellious side.
I DO, however, think the scene where Betty kisses Bobby might be a dream/fantasy sequence, because it happens in a school (although it isn’t “high school Betty” in the scene, it’s Ugly Betty season 4 Betty).  But then again, Bobby is a teacher (which makes it weird …read more

OMG, I’ve been waiting for this one!  It looks to be over-the-top campy, and I mean that in a good way.  As a reminder, here’s the synopsis for the episode:
Betty is overwhelmed with her editorial work, so Wilhemina assigns Marc to be Betty’s temporary assistant. Betty’s story idea to cover the worst jobs in New York goes south when she has to dress up as a hot dog and do a Bollywood dance number. Here is the promo for Ugly Betty episode 4.03, “Blue on Blue”, set to air this Friday, Oct 23 at 9/8c.

The promo doesn’t tell a whole lot about what might happen, except for one intriguing split-second visual:  Matt entering somewhere (I’m assuming a restaurant) arm-in-arm with Amanda.  This, to me, is a very interesting pairing, although I’m sure it’s not going to be a long term ship.
It looks like it will be part of a bigger plan hatched by Wilhelmina / Marc to throw Betty off her game.  But, I also have to wonder, is Matt the “more” that Amanda …read more

 It’s a spot for the third season of Ugly Betty on Channel 4 in England.  The writers took the lyrics to a verse of the song “Ugly Duckling”, as performed by the incomparable Danny Kaye  in Hans Christian Andersen.  They montaged short, one-word clips from the show to match the lyrics.  Absolutely brilliant.
ABC really should borrow it to promo the American version – it is that good.

First off, let me say that the old man at the end is NOT me. 
Basically, it’s different shots of people from a “bring back Betty” protest, interspersed with a few scenes from recent episodes.

Now, there’s another promo that ABC was running heavily Sunday night, which I REALLY liked, with protesters demanding the return of Betty.  But, alas, i haven’t been able to find that one in embeddable form.

To me, it seems obvious, the purpose of bringing in Matt’s Mother (Christine Baranski), and making her so chillingly cold, cruel, and unaccepting of Betty.  Doesn’t that sound like someone we remember from seasons 1 and 2?
The writers, try as they might, have cast their lot with Wilhelmina being, for the most part, on the Meades’ (and Betty’s) “side”. Also, sometime between season 2 and today, Marc and Amanda became friends (although they tease) with Betty.  And of course, …read more

I love, love, LOVE the theme of this episode.  As a Food Channel junkie, I think it’s wonderful that Ignacio is going to be in a “Throwdown” type show.  Playing the part of the Bobby Flay type character is Steve Schirripa (The Sopranos), and it looks like he’s going to “kick it up a notch”, as Emeril would say.
