Just Wow. Was Ashley Jensen not simply lovely last night at the Emmy Awards?

From the beautiful, classy, extra-long strapless dress, to the blingage to the perfect makeup - Jensen was nothing less than the classiest lady on the red carpet.

Hopefully, one day, she’ll win for her work with Ugly Betty, which I think is underrated (Vanessa Williams and Becki Newton get more screen time, so they are usually first in line for Supporting Actress nominations).

I’ll lay off Jerry O’Connell for calling his wife, Ugly Betty’s Rebecca Romijn ‘huge’ in a recent interview. After all, he’s a first-time expecting father.

But, I must say, she looks pretty good to me…

She IS carrying twins, and I hate to tell O’Connell, but she’s probably going to get a lot ‘huger’ before Romijn gives birth to their twin daughters.

She was heading for a meeting in West Hollywood, California, and the photographers caught the moment. I love Romijn’s top here, but let’s face it: she pretty much looks great in anything.

I’ll be very interested to know if Romijn’s role will increase again in the spring, or if the “demotion” she’s undergone had nothing to do with her pregnancy. I don’t want Alexis to go away completely - her character is too much fun!

It’s tennis day here at Ugly Betty News! Ugly Betty’s Mark Indelicato was one of the celebrities that appeared at Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day at the US Open in Flushing, Queens. The event was held at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre.

“Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day kicks off the US Open each year bringing together the hottest young musical acts and tennis’ brightest stars,” said Pierce O’Neil, Chief Business Officer, USTA (United States Tennis Association). “It’s a fun-filled day for the entire family while also honoring the legacy of Arthur Ashe, a true humanitarian and one of our sport’s great ambassadors.”

Also appearing were players Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Ana Ivanovic, Novak Djokovic, and music by Demi Lovato of Disney’s “Camp Rock,” Colby O’Donis and Menudo.

Indelicato looks like a natural, although his Ugly Betty character, Justin, hasn’t quite got the sports thing down. It looks like a fun time, though! I love the oversized raquet. I’m REALLY hoping the United States Tennis Association releases video of this!

It’s US Open time again (tennis, for you non-sports fans). Heineken is sponsoring many things surrounding the tournament, including the Official Player Party. Well, it was a party in the New York area, so of COURSE Becki Newton was there.

Becki has got to be loving the fact that Ugly Betty is now shooting in New York. All these parties, and right in the center of the fashion world! She doesn’t do neutral colors often, but this color looks wonderful on her. I especially like the print; she pulls it off wonderfully.

It’s only a slight difference, but I’d swear her hair is changed a little from when we normally see Newton out and about.

Regardless, since all the news lately has been on the Suarez characters, I wondered what Becki and Michael Urie were up to. It’s always great to see either of them.

Ugly Betty continues its filming in various locations in the New York area, this time shooting a scene at Coney Island.

Everybody seems upset in the photos. If I HAD to guess, I’d say that Daniel Jr ran away and ended up at Coney Island. I only say that because I recognize the look on Eric Mabius‘ face (as a dad myself). He’s trying to coax little Daniel back to him.

We still have America Ferrera as “a little more stylish Betty”. For all the clashing, her look is still quite pleasing to the eye.

But, here’s something interesting. Unless my eyes deceive me, that’s Freddy Rodriguez in the background of some of the pics. Considering the fact that this is most likely episode 3.04 - it would appear that Rodriguez is going to be around for more than just the season premiere. Please tell me I’m not an idiot. That is FR, right?

Ahem. Here are some mesmerizing photos of Ana Ortiz and Eddie Cibrian on the set of Ugly Betty.

Dang. There’s something for everyone here. Mr Cibrian is certainly eye candy for most of you, but as a straight man, let me tell you, I have no complaints about Patricia Field’s costuming here.

Since Hilda has been showing cleavage since early in Ugly Betty season 1, this isn’t exactly out of character for her. Probably a little more colorful than what she wore in season 2, but, hey, she’s in flirt mode. Cibrian looks, well, like a gym teacher. What’s the name of Justin’s school? What’s the “E” in “EMS” stand for? “MS” is obviously “Middle School”.

I just hope the writers aren’t totally amoral about Hilda’s affair with a married man. If Hilda goes down this road, I think there should eventually be heartbreak. Maybe that’s just the dad in me, but I’ve always loved how Ugly Betty has always highlighted the decency of the Suarez family.

If you’re going to have to “work” during your summer vacation, I can think of no better place to do it than Monte-Carlo. How beautiful.

Here are photos of the lovely Ugly Betty’s Vanessa Williams on the red carpet at last night’s TVLand Awards. It was good to see she brought her beautiful daughter, giving her a glimpse of our TV heritage.

I’ve rarely seen Vanessa in black, but man, that color looks good on her. It must have been a little hot during arrivals, but Williams is a pro, and seems to handle all situations with grace.

In only one of the pics can you notice the Spanx. I wonder if other celebrities like her spilling the beans about how most everyone in Hollywood needs a little help to look perfect.

Williams is always a cool and gracious host - I am surprised she isn’t used in this capacity more often, but Hollywood is a young person’s town, they always say. But, there’s no denying that Williams is a bigger star now than she’s ever been.

ABC isn’t playing around; they’ve released a HUGE batch of episode photos for Ugly Betty episode 2.18 (Jump), which is the season finale. For those of us who follow the show closely, there are some major spoilers included (you have to read between the lines, but they are there).

This is going to be one incredible episode!

This is the height of awesomness. They recently filmed the softball game sequence for the season finale of Ugly Betty (episode 2.18). Ugly Betty News has behind the scenes photos of the filming! And, of course, there’s a spoiler or two, so I’m putting most of them after the jump.

It should be no surprise that the uniforms for both teams are absolutely beautiful. Beautiful and softball, they just don’t seem to go together, do they? The designers on the set, both costume and set designers, have discovered the use of orange as an accent color.

Wilhelmina Slater will be returning to Mode in episode 2.17. Well, it appears that things will be patched up enough for her to participate in the big game. AND, she’s not on the Elle team! Vanessa Williams looks great!

It’s going to be a comedy of errors - I mean, who expects corporate employees of high fashion magazines to be any good at softball? Oh, and Naomi Campbell looks to be hilarious. I don’t know if the cell phone/Blackberry was part of the script, an interruption, or if the photo was taken during a break.

There are two interesting things here. The first is, of course, who is present. We had been assuming that a certain nerdy accountant would be in Tucson at this point. Also interesting, is who is NOT in the pics. It doesn’t mean anything really (the photographers were focused on Naomi Campbell and America Ferrera. But, I was REALLY hoping to see a behind the scenes glimpse of Michael Urie in uniform [edit: Nevermind. That's him in the orange outfit. I missed it because I thought the guy was a little too fit to be Urie...whoops]. And I’m REALLY hoping David Blue and John Cho were present. This game really needs Cliff and Kenny.

David Blue comments here from time to time - so I’ll ask: were you there? Were most of the recurring characters there?

I am so psyched for this episode!
