Mark Indelicato’s got himself a new job. Don’t worry, this 13-year-old Philadelphia native isn’t leaving his regular gig playing Betty’s fashion-obsessed nephew, Justin, on Ugly Betty. But on Sunday, he’ll be handling the red carpet at the Teen Choice Awards for E! News.

America Ferrera and Vanessa Williams are both nominated from Ugly Betty. What’s the one thing you really want to ask both of them on the red carpet?
I would love to ask them what it’s like working with Mark Indelicato on Ugly Betty. Ha! 

 Who are you most looking forward to meeting?
I am looking forward to seeing Fergie and, of course, my other castmembers. I really don’t know who else will be there, but anyone who comes along I would love to meet.

Is this just a way for you to prepare to host the Oscars someday?
Of course, this is prep for the Oscars! But kicking off my career as a correspondent and being with E! and doing the Teen Choice Awards is a huge deal!

How long will it take you to get ready for the red carpet?
It won’t take long. I’m not the kind of guy who worries about every little thing.

What makes you most nervous about this gig?
Probably meeting all of the stars that will be there.

Is it true you really want to take over Ryan and Guiliana’s jobs here at E!?
No! It’s definitely not true. I am nervous enough about doing the red carpet, let alone doing this every day! I think they are great at their jobs, and I don’t think anyone could fill their shoes—including me.

For me, it was love at first sight.  The opening sequence is tight on Betty’s face (more than most actresses would allow, I’m sure).  She looks nervous, then purses her lips.  Then, for no apparent reason, she breaks into this huge smile.  We, the audience, are wondering if we are looking at a crazy person.  Finally, the camera switches to a wide view to show Betty seated at a bench, smiling at a supermodel who had just arrived.

I was hooked from that moment on.  Even with some not-appropriate-for-family-hour moments when Daniel is introduced, the pilot episode is sheer genius, and sets the tone for the rest of the series.

Also, ABC.com right now has an interview video from the red carpet of the DVD release party.  Most of the spoilers we’ve talked about recently have been confirmed (except for Santos – watch me be wrong about that one!).  It’s really great viewing, and I hope it shows up on YouTube very soon; as soon as it does, I’ll pass it along.  One interesting tidbit – in the video, Mark Indelicato reveals that Justin will be dating “some Queens girl”, and Ana Ortiz adds that she’s a “klutz”. 

This is going to be good!
