A girls’ night out, it appears.

Filth and Wisdom was filmed on location in London, England. It is a comedy/drama/musical/romance, the story revolves around a Ukrainian immigrant named A.K. (Hütz) who finances his dreams of rock glory by moonlighting as a cross-dressing dominatrix and his two female flatmates: Holly (Weston), a ballet dancer who works as a stripper and pole-dancer at a local club and Juliette (McClure), a pharmacy assistant who dreams of going to Africa to help starving children.

Ah, Madonna. Still tweaking noses, I see. Whatever.

Back to the Ugly Betty ladies: Ferrera looks spectacular (I LOVE when her hair is straight!), Judith Light is ALWAYS classy, and Newton / Williams are glamourous as usual. Becki always seems to push the envellope with those waist-hugging dresses, and still looks fabulous doing it.

[We now pause this report for a bit of Lohan snarkiness] Lindsay, my dear. Heroin chic went out in the 80’s. Bring Sam to my house, I’ll cook you a big southern Sunday dinner sometime. Really, when I see pics of you lately, I want to give money to Feed the Starlets. [/end snark]

LiLo donned a cheerleader outfit (what is it with Ugly Betty and cheerleaders?).  Now, Lohan is young enough to pull off a high school flashback (for that matter, so is Ferrera), but her lifestyle is starting to show on her face a little, so to me, it looks a little “not quite right”.  But maybe, that’s what the producers were going for here.

There is also a pic of Ferrera in an absolutely hideous outfit; you can see that here. 

Also at the link is some gossipy tit-for-tat between Lohan and her father about her supposed drinking and whether Samantha Ronson is to blame.  The highlights:

Michael Lohan: ‘Samantha drinks and passes the drinks under the table to Lindsay, and behind the scenes it gets worse and worse. Sam is using my daughter. My daughter isn’t working because she’s always with Sam. Even my ex-wife knows it. She just isn’t doing anything about it.”

Lindsay Lohan: “‘He’s [her father is] out of control. I want him to stop hurting and talking to the media about the people I love.”

Sam Ronson: “I feel no need to publicly defend my role in Lindsay’s life – I’m just sorry that she likes me more than him.”

Ugh.

I sure hope the ratings boost received by Ugly Betty is worth having these people around the set.  Seems like poison to me.  But then again, maybe the way the cast of Ugly Betty gets along will be a positive influence on Lohan and crew.

As expected, Lohan’s character, Kimberly (I’ve also seen it as “Kimmie”) is working at a fast food restaurant. Some captions have described this scene as a fight between Lohan and America Ferrera (or rather, their characters). Indeed, in one of the photos, you can barely see Ferrera inside the restaurant, Lohan outside, and what looks like milkshake all over the just-closed door.

Apparently Betty and Kimberly aren’t getting off to the best of starts.

It’s good to see some of the Lilo filming finally underway. The 40 or so seconds in the finale last year was quite a letdown.

BTW, a little teaser. Betty is wearing a ridiculous outfit in this scene. We’ll discuss that tomorrow, and the fact that I think I know where Patricia Field is going with the costuming, and I think I like it.

I’ve seen Urie and Newton perform thier “Lohan” song (an ode to Lindsay Lohan) quite a few times, and this is the best one of all. I love how they take the craziness that is the Lohan circus with a dose of humor.

A hornet attacks Becki Newton in the video, and they answer a few more questions about being in New York.

If “Beckael” doesn’t land a spinoff at the end of Ugly Betty’s run, could they at least have a talk show? They’d be great!

After Silvio Horta had put to bed any idea of a Linsday Lohan appearance on Ugly Betty this season, this morning our friend Ausiello at TV Guide has a bombshell: Lohan is in advanced talks to appear in the season 2 finale. Ausiello’s tone makes it sound like it’s almost a given. Wow.

But, then, the news gets even more shocking. Lohan is in talks to appear on the show in a story arc next year. NOT the three-episode arc we’ve heard about, but possibly up to eight episodes!!! Holy cow.

Apparently, she’ll still play the “hapless fast-food worker” character we’ve previously heard about (although this has yet to be finalized). To be honest, if she can keep her act together, this could be nothing but good for both her and Ugly Betty.

Just look at what Britney Spears‘ appearance did for How I Met Your Mother. The only difference is, Lohan can really act.

I wonder how she’ll do amongst the workaholics that make up the Ugly Betty cast. Maybe they’ll be a good influence on Lindsay?

So, what do you think of the almost certain possibility of Lilo becoming an Ugly Betty recurring character?
