Fashion Week brings chaos to the Modies, as Betty copes with simultaneously putting on a show for a bizarre new designer named Heinrich and with an assignment from YETI to partner up with Matt (guest star Daniel Eric Gold), who works at a sports magazine, to learn about each other’s jobs. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina fears she’s lost her edge in the fashion world because she’s been spending too much time with Conner, Daniel tries giving Molly a makeover, and a new member of the Mode team makes a dramatic entrance.

This promises to be the kind of episode many of us have been waiting for.  And, FINALLY, the Slater/Meade baby will arrive!

This is Mark at the Duckie Brown show in Bryant Park.  Unfortunately, the captions just list his friend as, well, “friend”.  They appear to be having a great time (maybe Mark can get some ideas for his jeans line?)

Indelicato also made his way to the Badgley Mischka show, and he was front row, surrounded by lots of beauties, including Ian Thorpe, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Jessica Stroup, singer Kellie Pickler, Cat DeLuna and others.

I cannot WAIT for this week’s Fashion Week episode, because each Fashion Week episode of the previous two seasons was memorable.  And, hopefully, Justin will have a larger role this week; he’s such a hoot when he gets into his element.

No doubt, Indcelicato looks as sharp as can be here. He’s growin’ up good, as we say down my way. I wish, however, that he’d flash a smile. He looks so darned serious. Perhaps he’s going through a tortured artist teenage phase (I did).

Nevertheless, I’m glad he got rid of the swoop haircut from last season.

You know, with all these Fashion Week goings-on, hopefully the Ugly Betty producers can use some of the footage. It would make sense to me.

“Oh, my God!” she squeals, “It’s so gorgeous. I can’t believe it!”

Ortiz was flown from Los Angeles to New York Wednesday night for a private fitting with designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka.  The dress is absolutely gorgeous.  “When I first tried it on, it was a little big, but the color was so breathtaking,” she says of the just-fitted pleated strapless tiered gown, which was updated for Ortiz from their Fall 2007 collection.

She will be wearing the one of a kind dress for The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection fashion show today.  She’ll be walking down the runway in the Bryant Park tents in support of heart disease awareness for women.  Other featured designers are Donna Karan, Catherine Malandrino and Zac Posen.

Starring with Ortiz in the show are notables Liza Minnelli, Sara Ramirez (Grey’s Anatomy) and Jenna Fischer (The Office) .

While being fitted, Ana was asked about her new bangs (I really love them, myself!).  “I did it on New Year’s Eve, on a fluke,” she says. “My character went to beauty school, right?” She’s hoping not to have an embarrassing runway spill (something you might see on Ugly Betty).  “I’ve been practicing in heels,” she says. “I’m nervous, but I’m excited.”

Ortiz has changed her style since Ugly Betty first aired.  She now wears strapless evening wear that hugs her curves and fishtails at the hem. “I can’t really wear straight up and down. It just doesn’t suit my body,” she says. “I like to accentuate the rear.

“Right now I’m much more willing to take risks than I ever was before,” she says. “I can have a little more fun with (fashion).”

She says her support comes from her husband of less than a year, musician Noah Lebenzon. “I’m pleasantly surprised,” she says of marriage. “I know it will be a lot of work, but it’s been blissful.”

I’ll tell you, when I first saw the photo with Ortiz in pretty bangs and that beautiful dress, I couldn’t stop looking at her.
