]]> The cast of the 6th season of Dancing With The Stars was announced last night on Dance War, and of course there’s an Ugly Betty connection!  Remember the storyline in season 1 (1.20 – Petra-gate and 1.21 Secretaries Day), where Bradford bribed the creative director of Mode Brazil to seduce Alexis and take her away with him?  That character’s name was Rodrigo, and he was played by Latin-American heartthrob Christián de la Fuente. 

De la Fuente is going to be one of the contestants on Dancing With the Stars!  No word on who his partner will be, however.  According to his imdb.com biography, de la Fuente is 33, (he’ll be 34 in March) and married to actress Angelica Castro.  He studied engineering in college, is an officer in Chile’s Air Force reserve, a licensed pilot, and flies with the Aerobatic Team Halcones!  He was discovered by a talent scout, and acted on variety shows and soaps in Chile. In 1998, he moved to Mexico, where he played on the series “Reyes y Rey”.

De la Fuente starred in “The Class” and “CSI Miami” on CBS, and had an appearance on the show “Psych”, and many others.

  • Shannon Elizabeth – Actress, voted Maxim’s Hottest Woman in the World
  • Priscilla Presley – Actress, star of Dallas and The Naked Gun

    • Marlee Matlin should be interesting, and I would expect Steve Gutenberg to make a quick exit.  But then again, I said the same thing about Billy Ray Cyrus.

    Anyway, I will definitely be cheering for de la Fuente!
