After Silvio Horta had put to bed any idea of a Linsday Lohan appearance on Ugly Betty this season, this morning our friend Ausiello at TV Guide has a bombshell: Lohan is in advanced talks to appear in the season 2 finale. Ausiello’s tone makes it sound like it’s almost a given. Wow.

But, then, the news gets even more shocking. Lohan is in talks to appear on the show in a story arc next year. NOT the three-episode arc we’ve heard about, but possibly up to eight episodes!!! Holy cow.

Apparently, she’ll still play the “hapless fast-food worker” character we’ve previously heard about (although this has yet to be finalized). To be honest, if she can keep her act together, this could be nothing but good for both her and Ugly Betty.

Just look at what Britney Spears‘ appearance did for How I Met Your Mother. The only difference is, Lohan can really act.

I wonder how she’ll do amongst the workaholics that make up the Ugly Betty cast. Maybe they’ll be a good influence on Lindsay?

Let’s just say that the rumor we reported yesterday is true. And let’s say that our guess about the “father” of the mystery French 13 year old boy is true.

Now, look at this photo:

The last time I posted it, one of you commented that it looked like Rebecca Romijn had a baby bump. I brushed it off – all of us take bad photos every now and then; somebody can get the right angle and show a skewed view of reality.

But the drip, drip, drip of news concerning Romijn and Alexis has caused me to look again.

I really think it’s quite possible that Rebecca Romijn is pregnant.

Why else would she become “part time?”. Move away (assuming she goes to France)? Why did the photo above appear as if she had a baby bump?

We reported some time ago that Jerry O’Connell and Romjin had plans for a baby. Is this it?

If so, let me be the first to congratulate the beautiful couple!

SpoilerTV is reporting another Ugly Betty casting notice – and this one has a great bearing on the direction of the show. It is for episode 2.18 (I don’t think we have a title for the finale yet).

This one is similar to the last one, but…er…different. The speculation about this one will be endless, till it airs, at least.

I’d say this one is quite spoiler-ish, so I’ll put the details after the jump.

Here is the notice:

NATHANAEL
Male, 13 to 14, should look like he could be related to Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius). MUST SPEAK FLUENT FRENCH. Will appear in season finale as well as 2 to 3 episodes at the beginning of next season.

The appearance of this boy is probably going to rock Daniel’s world. But I’m trying to figure out what it means. “Could be related to Daniel” tells me that he will be a heretofore unknown son of…

Daniel? Is the age right? How old is Daniel – early 30’s, right? If the boy is Daniel’s from his travels, it’s believable, even if it means Daniel was a (unknown to him) teenage father. Or could he be the son of…

Bradford? Could be, although he was pretty faithful to his mistress (heh!). Or, the most intriguing possibility, could he be the son of…

Alexis – or more specifically – Alex? How wild would that be? Nathanael could have a mom and a dad in one person!

Well, that didn’t take long. My man Michael Ausiello at TV Guide has the scoop on the 13-year old versions of Ugly Betty cast members I previously told you about.

The way I saw it, there were only two scenarios that could have come out of this casting. One of the characters could have been having a flashback, or it could be a “vision”. By vision, I mean like when Daniel saw 12-year old Betty in episode 2.11, Zero Worship. These moments are many times very touching. They evoke “Heart”, as Slvio Horta puts it.

Anyway, Ausiello gives us the spoiler details, and I pass them to you, after the jump!

Question: I need new Ugly Betty scoop! Throw the puppy a bone, please? — Megan
Ausiello: OK, but you’ll probably want to sit down for this: In a shocking move that will prove less so once I place it in the proper context, producers have decided to recast the roles of Betty, Amanda, Daniel and Gio. But there’s a twist (i.e., the proper context I spoke of earlier). In an upcoming episode, Betty observes younger versions of some of the people in her life while she’s chaperoning a junior-high dance.

Ahhh, now it makes sense. I can’t WAIT to see little Gio. I have a feeling he’s going to be using his “Phil Roth” moves. So junior high.

This is probably also where Hilda will meet her new love interest, but maybe not. I figure it will come in a parent-teacher meeting that has been called because Justin is failing gym. Been there, done that. )
