Ugly Betty’s America Ferrera recently rekindled the Sisterhood, joining Traveling Pants costars Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel at the release party for Tamblyn’s new book, “Bang Ditto”.

Amber’s book is a collection of poetry and prose about about her observations on life in Hollywood. This book exposes a lot of Amber’s personal feelings and experiences.
Amber pulls no punches in her characterization of young life in Hollywood:
We’d all love to stop eating the poisonous parts of our wildness.

The first Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie will be on Lifetime Movie Network this Friday at 8/7c, with encores Saturday and Sunday.  Here is the Lifetime trailer:

This movie was the first major exposure for many to America Ferrera.  Interestingly, when this movie was made, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel were the “big” stars – they were white hot.  Ferrera and Blake Lively were relative unknowns.  It’s funny what a difference a few years can make.
The second movie was very good and well produced; I would definitely recommend it.  But, there’s something special about SOTTP 1.

Here are photos of America Ferrera and and fellow cast mates at the New York premiere of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.

The event was held at the Ziegfeld Theatre, and it seems like everyone was there. Of course, fellow ‘Pants’ stars Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn we in attendance, looking marvelous together.

Also seen: Ugly Betty cast mates Mark Indelicato, Ana Ortiz, Judith Light, Becki Newton – along with lots of other notables such as Jenna Boyd and Ali Lohan.

The first trailer has been released for “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2″. The movie will be in theaters August 8, 2008. It stars Alexis Bledel, Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn and the always-beautiful America Fererra.

The “Traveling Pants” movies are based on a series of novels by Ann Brashares, They tell the story of how the Sisterhood girls finding themselves, without losing each other.
This looks to be a well-made movie, and it’s going to be great to see America Ferrera on the big screen again!
