So, it’s Fashion Week, which always makes for a crazy episode.  This particular preview starts with Marc (whose bangs are back again) , using a life-sized cardboard Wilhelmina to demonstrate to Betty the proper way of addressing Ms Slater.
He emphatically tells Betty to never look Wilhelmina in the eyes or in the knees. (?)  If you must address her, you should look at her shins or toes.

By now, you’ve probably seen reports from EW’s Ausiello and EOnline’s Kristin about spoilers they’ve received from their Ugly Betty inside sources.
The usual disclaimer applies to reported spoilers:  Ausiello and Kristin are both great sources of information, but they both miss the mark sometimes.  Ausiello has several times in the past misinterpreted (or over-interpreted) whatever information he’s been given, usually causing the Ugly Betty fan base to go nuts.

*SPOILERS* – In this sneak peek, we find out something that most of of had guessed, based on the hints and spoilers for this episode we’ve seen thus far:  Amanda gets a promotion.

Here is the first sneak peek for Ugly Betty episode 4.13, “Chica and the Man”.

Everything we love about the “Mode side” of Ugly Betty is here: the snarkiness (which still isn’t as mean-spirited as, say that in Cougar Town), the quips, the enthusiasm, and the silliness.  It concerns a staff meeting started by Wilhelmina, but run by Daniel, to Willie’s surprise.  Daniel announces that Mode landed an exclusive fashion shoot and interview with filmmaker Diego Martinez and actress Victoria Velez. 
Betty cannot contain herself.  She LOVES their movies, and has seen them all.  Marc, of course, makes fun of her.

Well, this is interesting.  America Ferrera is in Utah promoting her new film ‘The Dry Land’ at the Sundance Film Festival.  While there, she gave a quick interview with ABC News/Entertainment.
She was asked for what we can expect coming up for Ugly Betty, and, although she was being very guarded, she gave the strongest hints we’ve ever seen that a Betty relationship with Daniel (Detty) is going to happen.

Ugly Betty is still bringing in top-grade talent for guest starring roles.  First, we hear the (mostly confirmed) rumor that Liza Minnelli was cast as Justin’s teacher.  Then, came news that Bobby’s parents have been cast (Nestor Serrano and Lainie Kazan)
Now, EW’s Ausiello reports that Tony Award winning actor Brian Stokes Mitchell has been cast to play Wilhelmina’s old flame.
The difference from the previous on-screen relationships like Connor and Texas millionaire Ted?  This character, Don, is “traditional, down to earth, and blue collar.”
Most certainly, IMHO, this means that Don was part of Wilhelmina’s life when she was “Wanda”, before …read more

Ugly Betty has cast the parts of Bobby’s parents, EW’s Ausiello reports. 
Bobby – Hilda’s current boyfriend, has a “past’ that has only been hinted at previously, and the biggest mystery surrounding the  character has been, “Is his family part of organized crime?”
I don’t know if these casting choices will put that question to rest, but they sure are perfect, IMHO.
Playing Bobby’s father will be Nestor Serrano, whose credits at IMDB look like the TV procedural and thriller greatest hits of the last 20 years.  No doubt, Serrano’s casting is supposed to really push home the idea that Bobby …read more

Here is the promo for Ugly Betty episode 4.13, Chica and The Man, airing Wednesday, February 3 at 10/9c on ABC.

To things stand out: Daniel has shaved off his beard (some of you would say, “finally!”), and this episode will be heavy on Daniel/Betty, even if the two are fighting for most of the episode.
AMAZINGLY, ABC did not put any reference to the Wilheldiva Hater drag queen storyline, which will be by far the most spectacular part of the episode, in the promo.  I have a feeling that, since they have two weeks to promote the episode, we’ll see more …read more
