Sometimes I forget, because of all the drama, just how funny America Ferrera is.  I especially like her good nature in the sections where her braces cause her spit uncontrollably.
She seemed to be funniest when paired with Freddy Rodriguez or Chris Gorham.
There’s a great section where each of the actors forgets his/her line.  Becki Newton is funny because, unlike the others, she does not change expression at all.

This is so cool!  The female stars of Ugly Betty have lent their lips to a good cause.  Mary Kay has kicked off their second annual A Kiss for Country charity auction at www.uBid.com/charity.  A Kiss for Country asked celebrities to provide their kiss prints and signatures to be auctioned off online to benefit programs to prevent and end domestic violence.
I’m in heaven:  America Ferrera, Vanessa Williams, Ana Ortiz, Becki Newton and Ashley Jensen have all volunteered their “kisses”.  I’m thinking Vanessa Williams, but I could be convinced to bid on others!

Check out this video promo from ABC about all the upcoming DVD releases for last season’s shows.  Ugly Betty is featured prominently, and they pieced together every sensational, racy, steamy scene from each show (that’s a warning, if you are easily offended):

ABC updated its Ugly Betty Starter Kit video (as you might recall, the first one came out just as the show was returning from the WGA strike).  As usual, it is hosted by Suzuki St Pierre (Alec Mapa).

It covers all of the major happenings, in both season 1 and season 2.
You know, it’s funny – in capsule form, season 2 doesn’t seem as disjointed as it did as the episodes unfolded.

Can’t get enough Betty? Now you can have your very own Betty Suarez doll from Madame Alexander.

There are two dolls in the collection – a cloth doll and a traditonal Madame Alexander doll. I really like the traditional, but those generally do not show the subject smiling, so we can’t see those wonderful braces of Betty’s. The cloth doll has the braces in all their glory.

Here’s something interesting: apparently, there is a Madame Alexander Desperate Housewives collection as well.
There is obviously a whole world of collectible dolls out there I knew nothing about.  :)

If you’re not aware of this, the ABC SeenOn Store usually posts new items worn by the characters on Ugly Betty, right after an episode airs.  This allows you to impulsively follow through on those times you yell at the TV, “That outfit Wilhelmina has on is great!  I’ve got to have it!”

In Ugly Betty episode 2.08, I See Me, I.C.U. , there were two mentions of Bradford’s wedding suit, and the fact that it was missing (Justin seemed obsessed about it).  I can’t help but think – either I’m missing some important piece of information (sometimes I miss the obvious) that explains this, or the writers are setting us up for another plot turn. 
Now, I know there’s a much more intriguing cliffhanger from the show sitting out there, and we’ll get to that soon, but for now, I’m wondering why the fact that Bradford showed up at the hospital sans suit is …read more
