Starring with Gorham are Arielle Kebbel and Chris Parnell. The film is being directed by Christopher Farah. His brother Mike Farah is producing.
Trivial Pursuits is Set in the world of competitive bar trivia (who knew there was a world of competitive bar trivia?) Mark Indelicato At NY Premiere of “Potter”
July 11, 2009 by Tom
Here is some interesting video of Mark Indelicato working the red carpet at the New York premiere of “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince”.
a href=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVY__XSlgGM”>
He speaks to someone from Toronto about the fact that filming for Ugly Betty is going to start, as Mark puts it, “now”.
They also talk about Ana Ortiz and her new baby – a subject that gets Mark excited. He says he hasn’t spoken to Ana since she had the baby, but that she’s so happy right now.
I LOVE his teenage criteria for rating the Harry Potter movies: “I haven’t gotten bored”. Mark does mention …read more
America Ferrera Shooting Comedy Film
June 8, 2009 by Tom
Ugly Betty star America Ferrera is putting every spare minute of the show’s offseason to good use. She’s in in LA, filming an as yet unnamed comedy film about two families who clash while trying to throw together a wedding in two short weeks.
It was just announced recently that Lance Gross is the leading man in the Fox Searchlight project. The House of Payne star will apparently be the groom to Ferrera’s bride.
Already announced as part of the project are Forest Whitaker and Carlos Mencia. I think it’s a pretty good assumption to say they are playing the fathers …read more
Vanessa Williams on ‘Hannah Montana’ Movie
April 11, 2009 by Tom
Ugly Betty’s Vanessa Williams didn’t have to think much before signing up to play Vita in the just-opened Hannah Montana, The Movie.
She says, “I have an eight year old daughter who is prime Hannah Montana fan. And the year before we had gone to her concert, the 3-D movie of her concert, we had seen her at the high school musical premiere, and we have it playing 24/7 in our house. So I definitely knew about the Hannah Montana mania.”
With this as a background, when she was contacted about appearing in the film, Williams jumped at the chance.
“My management …read more
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Airs on Lifetime Movie Network This Friday
March 4, 2009 by Tom
The first Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie will be on Lifetime Movie Network this Friday at 8/7c, with encores Saturday and Sunday. Here is the Lifetime trailer:
This movie was the first major exposure for many to America Ferrera. Interestingly, when this movie was made, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel were the “big” stars – they were white hot. Ferrera and Blake Lively were relative unknowns. It’s funny what a difference a few years can make.
The second movie was very good and well produced; I would definitely recommend it. But, there’s something special about SOTTP 1.
So, make your plans: …read more
Another Freddy Rodriguez Sighting!
December 19, 2008 by Tom
The Getty Girls have done it again! Freddy Rodriguez was recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live, promoting his film Nothing Like The Holidays, and once again, a Getty girl was there.
Here is video of the appearance:
Unfortunately, there was no Ugly Betty talk. They share a little small talk (including a great story about his friend “Sparky”), then have a fascinating discussion about Freddy attempting to have “the talk” with his teenaged son. This is the best, funniest part of the interview.
Then they show a clip from the film, one that I haven’t seen before where the brothers are playing baseball …read more
Freddy Rodriguez Is All Over The Place!
December 11, 2008 by Tom
Freddy Rodriguez has been heavily promoting his new film, “Nothing Like The Holidays”. He briefly mentions Ugly Betty in this interview on Regis and Kelly:
When Regis asks Freddy about Ugly Betty, he quotes Ugly Betty executive producer Silvio Horta, who told him, “You didn’t die!”
What’s really neat is that this question was asked at the behest of one of the Getty Girls (for those of you who don’t know, this group is probably the most, uh, enthusiastic group of fans I’ve ever seen). Getty Girl “Lady T” was actually there, and asked Regis, before the show started, to ask Rodriguez …read more

I love the facial hair – I’ve always wanted to grow one of those.
Freddy has obviously kept himself busy since he pretty much disappeared from Ugly Betty. I’ve seen the trailer for Nothing Like The Holidays, and I really would like to see it. Not only am I a big Freddy fan, the movie just looks like my kind of film:
I hope it’s a hit; this could launch Freddy to bigger things. …read more
