Monday Ugly Betty Trivia: 1/21/08

This week’s trivia question is, I think, easy for those of us who watch the show religiously. But first, the answer to last week’s question:

In episode 2.11 “Zero Worship”, there was a grammatical error on something printed. Where was it? The choices were The first Fashion Week backdrop, The Invitations To The Renegade Show, The second Fashion Week Backdrop, The cover of Brandy’s DVD.

The answer was “The Invitations to the Renegade (Fashion) Show”. The actual error: there’s a misused apostraphe in the title: “Fashion Get’s Real”. My thinking is that this was done on purpose to highlight that Daniel himself designed the invitations, and, as nice as he is, he’s still not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Now, for this week.

It concerns Betty and one of her habits. I’ll give you a hint, the answer is found in a early episode in season 2.

Monday Ugly Betty Trivia: 1/14/08

It’s Monday, so it must be time for Ugly Betty trivia! We’ve got a great question this week, but let’s begin by giving the answer for last week’s question.

The question was, which one of the following four is NOT a Disney-owned domain: DudeCruise.com, SoCuteItsSick.com, MarcStJames.com or BettySuarez.com? The answer is MarcStJames.com . DudeCruise is Marc’s favorite website, SoCuteItsSick has shown up 3 or 4 times this season, and BettySuarez is the “personal” site of Betty, used by ABC for promotion (I think it should be a blog, but ABC didn’t ask me). All of them are owned by Disney.

Now for this week. I think it’s a tough one, but who knows? In episode 2.11 “Zero Worship”, there was a grammatical error on something printed. This could have been on purpose, or less likely, it is an unfortunate result of the writer’s strike. Nevertheless, it shows up right on screen.

To get this answer, you’ll not only have to know your Betty, but you would have had to pay attention in 11th grade English!

Monday Ugly Betty Trivia First Installment

You guys are extremely knowledgeable Ugly Betty fans. I thought it would be neat to use the polling engine at Ugly Betty News to give y’all a chance to show off your expertise.

This week’s is one of my favorite subjects (and also highlights a pet peeve of mine). As I’ve alluded to many times before, Disney “parked” several internet domain names – sites that have been mentioned on the show, for the most part. They do this so no enterprising young web developer can write a spoof site and embarrass Disney in some way (they ARE a huge media conglomerate, after all). I don’t blame them.

BUT – I wish Disney would at least put a small effort into creating real sites on these domains (I mean, look at what they did with Lost!). Disney, if you’re listening, I volunteer.
