It appears that Eric Mabius’ beard will indeed end up onscreen, at least for a while.  Daniel is obviously distraught (as expected), and Betty seems to need comforting, too.
This outfit is more season 3 Betty than the new, more stylish Betty we’ve been promised for season 4.  It’s not that the top doesn’t match in general, but the floral pattern and crazy shoes just seem overdone.  Betty’s hair IS perfectly straight, though.

Ugly Betty’s Eric Mabius and his beautiful wife Ivy Sherman were amongst the many celebrities at the New York City screening of Quentin Tarantino’s new flick Inglorious Basterds.

 
I see that we have the return of Bearded Mabius, who always appears in the Ugly Betty offseason.  Since filming on Betty season 4 is already underway, I think we have to assume the Mabius’ beard will make it onscreen.  Perhaps it will be an outward sign of Daniel’s mourning of his departed bride, Molly.

Wow – April is Ugly Betty cast member birth month!  Today is the birthday of Eric Mabius (38); this is the third Ugly Betty cast birthday in a week (America Ferrera and Tony Plana were over the weekend).  No word on if he attended the combination Ferrera birthday party/Ugly Betty season 3 wrap party, but if not, it’s understandable.
The man is a family man.
Mabius told People, about having two very small children, "We (he and wife Ivy Sherman) take turns sleeping.  Some nights we get sleep, most nights we don’t."

Eric Mabius just ain’t feelin’ the Detty.  In an AP report, he was asked about a possible scenario on Ugly Betty where Daniel Meade and Betty Suarez end up together.
That would be the equivalent of us jumping the shark," he says.  He mentions that the various incarnations of the show throughout the world have the two becoming a pair, and it usually means the end of the show.
"In all the other series … they get married and the show ends! I’m not too excited about that idea!,” says Mabius.

Congratulations to Ugly Betty’s Eric Mabius and wife Ivy Sherman on the birth of their second son!  US Magazine confirms through Mabius’ rep that Rylan Jaxon Mabius has been born.
Eric was at a GQ event in NYC on Dec. 2, and said, “My wife is due any minute, so we won’t have time to travel but we’ll go home to Amherst, Mass., for the holidays.”  This is indeed going to be a very happy holiday for the Mabius clan. 
And Mabius is the master of charm.  He added on Dec 2, She is very, very pregnant! She looks beautiful!”

The premiere was held at the Ziegfeld Theater, and everyone seemed to be there, including stars Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman (there with hubby Keith Urban).

Ugly Betty continues its filming in various locations in the New York area, this time shooting a scene at Coney Island.

Everybody seems upset in the photos. If I HAD to guess, I’d say that Daniel Jr ran away and ended up at Coney Island. I only say that because I recognize the look on Eric Mabius‘ face (as a dad myself). He’s trying to coax little Daniel back to him.
We still have America Ferrera as “a little more stylish Betty”. For all the clashing, her look is still quite pleasing to the eye.
