Ugly Betty Episode 4.06 Sneak Peek #1

Here is a sneak peek of Ugly Betty episode 4.06, Backseat Betty. (Courtesy B&B) This one has Amanda joining Daniel in going to a Community of the Phoenix retreat, much to the chagrin of Natalie and Bennett.
Becki Newton is hilarious again, announcing as Amanda, “I’m going to get cured, or whatever”. Then, she says about the beads she has to wear as part of the program, “I don’t like the way they frame my chest-icles” Heh. She completes the trifecta by telling Daniel, “You did not tell me I had to read…”
I’m fairly certain that the Community of The Phoenix is a not-so-subtle replacement for a particular worldview we could call “Friends of Tom Cruise”. All this talk of “Phasing” and “getting to level 5” kind of gives it away. Not to mention when Daniel says “Maybe you’ll give me something for free” – that tells me they are charging him for spiritual services.
Once again, Natalie sure seems to be scheming, at the very least.
The neat thing is, as Daniel gets sucked deeper into this cult, Amanda is going to play a part in pulling him out (I’m guessing a very important part). It’s almost as if her shallowness gives her a kind of immunity to the methods of the group. Too funny.

Yep, I’m laughing at the idea of Amanda being in any cult that has bad fashion sense and doesn’t revolve around worshipping her, LOL! And Silvio better watch out, the “Friends of Tom Cruise” might come after him
Seriously, though, it will be sad when Betty finally gets through to Daniel about what a sham the cult is, because that means he’ll have to realize he won’t be reunited with Molly
I wish the writers would find something do to with Daniel’s character other than do stupid crap and be abandoned by everyone he grows to trust. Dude deserves a break.
And Natalie is a snake. I’m counting down the episodes until she’s gone. Two more to go!
Yeah, I think that’s how Amanda will be involved in the next episode when Betty schemes with Claire to get Daniel out. There were some pics for the next episode on ABC Medianet that show Claire & Amanda together in a group setting so perhaps maybe they will pose as mother/daughter perhaps?? Probably while they are doing that, Betty will track Daniel down & try to persuade him to leave. Not sure how Matt will be involved in helping Betty (maybe just because it’s Betty & making sure she is okay) seeing that Daniel & Matt don’t see eye to eye.
POSSIBLE SAD News: According to Ew.com’s Ausiello files it looks like Ugly Betty WON’T be moving to Wednesday nights. I really hope Ausiello is wrong.
