Ugly Betty Set Pics of America Ferrera, Daniel Eric Gold

Based on these set photos of America Ferrera and Daniel Eric Gold filming scenes for Ugly Betty, I think it’s safe to say that in some upcoming episode of the show, Betty and Matt will be at the very least, friendly.
This looks like a date to me, and one that’s going well. But, this could just be a friendly walk, such as we’ve seen Betty take with Daniel many times.
They seem to be walking around somewhere Betty knows, because she’s pointing out something to Matt.
I LOVE these red coats that Betty has been wearing, it is a very good color on her (and America Ferrera).
And Matt doesn’t resemble in any way the disheveled mess of last season. He looks downright Daniel-like. 
This scene is interesting to me, because I haven’t seen anything in the upcoming episode synopses (and yes, I WILL be posting about them, and the shelved sweeps episode – which deserves its own post) about Betty and Matt getting back together. So, for all we can tell, this is a (very) friendly walk.
Also, Betty either starts out, or end up, alone in this scene:
I’m guessing “starts”, because she’s headed down the stairs in this pic. But, she looks upset, or concerned.
I know some of you (OK, most of you) are very against a Betty/Matt pairing, but, knowing the Ugly Betty writers, whatever they are setting up here is either a tease, or temporary.
Plus, where does Amanda (and her designs on Matt) play into this? I actually kind of like the idea of Amanda and Matt, at least a little. They do seem kind of made for each other.
Anyway, we’ll keep an eye on the upcoming episodes to see what this is all about!

I really like these pictures but I hope Betty is wearing something a little more “Betty” under that coat because she looks a bit too stylish to me. I’m not totally against Matt and Betty together but I still think it would be interesting to see Amanda and Matt because Amanda actually seems like him for reasons other than a sex lol
I think that it’s so hilarious how you keep mentioning the similarities between Matt and Daniel, Tom. I have definitely agreed with you on every comparison that you have made.
I also love the coat that America is wearing- the color suits her very well.
Most people have been really negative about the whole Matt and Amanda relationship, but I am actually a bit curious since it was alluded to a tiny bit last season (when they watched that Youtube video during the episode “In the Stars.” I thought that the stiff pose that they made when they watched it was hilarious!) and they are characters that are capable of being very sweet when they try hard enough. It is something different for the both of them and I can’t wait to see where it goes! I honestly don’t think that Matt and Betty are very suitable and I think that, as the plot goes along, Matt and Amanda might make more sense. But, that’s just my opinion which could change depending on where the show takes Betty, Matt and Amanda.

Matt and Betty look great in those pics. I think they’re made for each other!!! They look good together and characterwise are the best pairing. I really don’t see the Daniel and Betty together. Betty does’nt even have a crush on Daniel; she seems to have the love and concern of a sister to a brother or a good friend.

i have to say i agree with andrea- although i am more of a fan of detty- betty and daniel, i’d rather matt was with betty than amanda.
i love amanda, and i like matt too- but not together as a romantic couple. i just don’t see them as a good fit together.
I dont want them to get back together. I always liked Henry and Betty. Matt and Amanda make a cute couple. But, since Henry isn’t coming back Betty and Matt. =(
I don’t think Matt is like Daniel. Besides, either Matt and Amanda or Matt and Betty is fine with me. I just wait and see what’s gonna happen next!
I think that America & Daniel both look good in what they are wearing…esp compared to how BOTH of them dresssed last season, And I agree with most – the color that the red suits America at least with the coat she’s wearing. Alhough I think it would be interesting to see Matt & Amanda together,although I think that Matt’s heart lies with Betty.I remember reading that Becki said that her character (Amanda) will have an “unrequitted crush”…so I’m guessing that maybe Matt may be that crush. I’m thinking this “love triangle” thing will come to a head at a certain point (Bahamas episode). I don’t see this “love triangle” thing lasting the entire season. From the promos we we’ve seen or tonight’s episode, we know now that Betty still has feelings for Matt and Matt may still have feelings after his melt down in the other episode when Matt & Betty finally had their falling out. Now that we know Amanda likes Matt and maybe vice-versa, I wonder if Matt will figure out that Betty still has feelings for him esp. after tonight’s episode where it looks like Betty will be a little jealous on both fronts – with Matt & Daniel.
sure there are still have some feelings between B&M, but there weren’t that much to begin with. They were never intense, and not even for that long. Unlike the forbidden fruit (henry) and unexpected delight (gio), there were just never that much spark and intensity to begin with.

I’m one of the people who HATE Matt&Betty together.
And Amanda can be quite smart too, basing my opinion on a few episodes like 2×12 and others like that.
I love Matt and Betty! I dont like amanda matt never love amanda, Matt still loves Betty. I hope Matt and Betty be back together.
I really liked when Betty and Matt were together last season. Of course, writers can’t let a couple be problem-free, because that would be boring, so it is possible that the animosity from the end of last season and the beginning of this season could have just been a bump in their road. But perhaps even the producers and writers aren’t 100% certain of with whom Betty will end up. Silvio Horta has said that he used to be sure that Betty and Daniel would not end up together, but he has since backed off that assertion, so who knows?
Regarding the context of these photos, I am pretty sure they are part of the scenes during which Betty, Matt, Claire, and Amanda try to get Daniel out of The Community of the Phoenix.

Well I’m not sharing the opinion of the majority in here…not that it’s the first time tough!
Because I really liked the love relationship between Matt and Betty last season, and even more this season. As strange as it might sound, I love when two characters having different lifes can have a lot of similarities when it comes to feelings.
And seeing how Matt realized the mistakes he’s been afwul to Betty, and then how he’s willing/trying to change himself so that they maybe can fix their relationship is just beautiful! So I really hope they’ll find their way together, even if I admit that the Matt-Amanda SL seems interesting.

You know i actually dont think the Matt-Amanda pair is such a bad idea…its atleast better than Matty (i think that names better than Metty)…but whatever be the outcome of that pair i just want Gio back on the show so badly…hes the one who got me totally hooked onto the show in the first place…i just want Getty to get back together!!!!!
I think that Betty and Matt make a great couple. I am looking forward to seeing if they start dating again in season 4. At first, I thought that Matt did like Amanda, because he kind of asked her to the Wilimina’s party. However, I realized that he doesn’t like Amanda in that way. They are just friends. I hope that there is still a chance for Matt and Betty to get back together. At the end of last night’s episode, Matt was talking to Betty in a nice way. You can tell that he still loves her, because she is his first love.
I am a huge Matt & Betty fan, and seeing these pictures make all the more excited to see that episode air! I do hope they get back together. After last nights episode, it seems that they are on that road. He is very similar to Daniel which is why I think it’ll be him in the end. Betty can’t end up with Daniel, they set it up too much for them to be friends and I don’t see an romantic connection there at all, just friends. But with Matt & Betty on the other hand, you’ve got love tension all over them! I really hope they get back together, they’re perfect! As much as I love Amanda’s character, it just doesn’t seem like a good fit for her to be with Matt, although I’m sure they’re going to explore that possibility but it’s going to be short-lived.
The ending between Matt and Betty was amazing!!! <3
I hadn’t seen the Nico twist coming until the beginning of this episode, when it just popped into my head. When they got to the scene in which he was blackmailing Wilhelmina, I was pretty sure, so I was gratified that they didn’t drag it out any longer and revealed it to the audience later in the episode when Oskar Castelar/Jonathan Vieja sneaked up behind Nico and her expression turned into a smile. I’m glad that I hadn’t figured it out sooner, because it made for a fun revelation.
i Wish dearly that the whole amanda + matt stuff would just End! it’s so.. wrong. stupid and BLAH dull! betty+matt! yay

I never saw Daniel and Betty being together. They are too friendly and siblingly (if that makes sense). They are like brother and sister and always looking out for each other. Plus, I think it would ruin the show for me if they did end up in a relationship. (It would be like when Rachel and Joey tried to have a relationship. What were the writers thinking?!?!?)
This episode was one of my favs so far. Even though nothing huge happened between Matt and Betty, it seems as if a lot has progessed. I’m sooo glad that Matt has forgiven Betty and is being all sweet again (that’s when I love him the most!!) I LOVED the ending!! And Betty look BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! I do love how independent she is becoming because it seems as if she doesn’t neccessary need Matt. And I think he realized that at the end. And the look on his face as Betty was dancing was that he regrets letting her go. In addition, I have to say, Matt seems sooo much happier when he is with Betty. His date didn’t look all that fun. It also sucks that at the end of season 3, Matt and Betty were moving sooo much forward and now they are a huge step back.
I really do think that Matt and Betty will get back together later on. When, I’m not sure, but I have a feeling that the writers are gonna keep prolonging it (it is a tv show after all).
Like I said before, I CAN’T WAIT until the future episodes, especially the one above. And hopefully, my stupid DTV won’t say I have a weak episode that night as it did last night.

O yeah and I have to add, and I swear this is the last one:
Matt and Betty had sooo much “will they, won’t they sexual tension” in this episode.
And as I said before, Betty looked GORGEOUS at the party (I LOVE how subtle her transformation is). Her dress was pretty and I LOVED the way her hair was styled. It was really cute how it was pushed to the side and slightly curled. Matt defintely looked like he was thinking back at all the memories with Betty at the ending scene.
I feel the Matt’s love only now and not last season. None coming from Betty though. Maybe the real problem is America hates Eric off-screen.
But I’m open to anything EXCEPT a Detty.

Metty all the way!I don’t understand why people want to see a Matt/Amanda pairing.They have nothing in common.Besides,it will ruin Amanda’s frienship with Betty.You should NEVER date your friend’s ex.
This is my first post yet something tells me I am probably not going to make many friends after this but here I go. I’m an Ugly Betty fan from before the America F version even existed. I have seen three versions (the Angelica Vale one, the original Columbian one, and the America one in that order) but my favorites are the Vale and America ones. I cannot conceive of an Ugly Betty show not ending with a Betty/Daniel pairing.
I know many have made the argument that it is more of a best friend relationship. I think that to have a great couple relationship one needs to be with someone who is their bff, someone to lean on, and who motivates them to be better individuals and that is something I see in the Betty/Daniel relationship. Plus both Daniel and Betty are really nice and good (there is almost this child-like innocence about them), while Matt can be very resentful and vengeful (which isn’t really Betty’s style). When Sophia broke Daniel’s heart he didn’t go all I must get her fired from Meade and make her feel like dirt, instead he got a fake tan and moped around in his place for a few weeks.
I kind of do like the Amanda/Matt thing because they can be mean, but they can also be really good people. Plus I think that Matt would make Amanda grow as a person and strive for more in life, while at the same time she would help him move on and forward without the dark vengeful feelings. It doesn’t have to be a permanent thing but I could see it developing into something more than just a thing.

Matt resembles Daniel so much in these pics that it makes sick!!! Betty should NOT end up with Matt!!! She belongs with Daniel!!! I want to see some Detty action already!!!
