Mode After Hours Sneak Peek

Anyway, this video kind of shows you what they mean when the actors and producers say the show will be ramping things up closer to the edge. It’s, shall we say, saucy.
Marc (Michael Urie) and Amanda (Becki Newton) are fretting the fact that someone filed an anonymous sexual harassment complaint against “us” (I’m assuming that means Mode). As a result, Marc and Amanda (and I guess everyone else) have to stay after work and look at pamphlets and fill out an online questionnaire. The whole time they are talking about this, Amanda is pawing at Marc and pulling him to her chest.
As an aside, Ugly Betty producers…I think this whole Marc/Amanda straight-curious shtick has diminishing returns. It’s funny THIS time because of the circumstances around it, but I think you should choose your shots carefully. Anyway…back to the episode…
Then the two role-play, and Amanda tramps it up while Marc plays a Henry-like nerdy character. This scene is hilarious, especially with Newton throwing out double-entendres left and right.

Those two are fantastic together! I love how they use Mode After Hours web-episodes to give us something to look forward to whenever there are no episodes of the show airing on TV. It’s a great way to keep fans excited about the show. After watching the sneak peak at EW.com, I can definitely see some changes in the feeling of the show. But, Tom, you’re definitely right in that the “Amanda attracted to Marc” impression might possibly get old in a while (I hope that’s what you were referring to), but in this case, it is hilarious! Do you know where you heard that the show will be ramping things up? Is it from a specific source or is it a general impression that you got?
It’s interesting because on this spoiler alert that I found on the Ugly Betty Fanpop website, it says that Amanda will get an unrequited love interest next season. Could it be Marc?! I don’t think so, but anything is possible! There are also additional spoilers at this site that I don’t think you’ve mentioned.

Tom, I usually agree with you but NOT this time. I honestly love Marc&Amanda together as a couple and I’m loving Brian Grubstick because he’s been writting all these amazing mode after hours with loas of marc&amanda hints.
I make a lot of Marc&Amanda videos for youtube and people love them as a couple.
Me, instead, I agree with you Tom. In this webisode the thing has been funny (EXTREMELY funny, actually XD) but – well, it’s a very risky business.
uglybettyfan- i’m glad that you mentioned the info from fanpop, because i find them from various websites and post them on there. always want to keep you guys informed of news in the run up to the debut of season 4 next month. in addition to the news here on ugly betty news, as well.
bia, nanyscia- interesting thoughts from the both of you. though like bia, i am in favour of marc and amanda as a couple and wouldn’t mind seeing them together on screen
