New Ugly Betty Set Pics!

Here are some new photos from the set of Ugly Betty filming on location in midtown Manhattan. Hat tip, B&B (and UglyBettyFan).
It appears that Eric Mabius’ beard will indeed end up onscreen, at least for a while. Daniel is obviously distraught (as expected), and Betty seems to need comforting, too.
This outfit is more season 3 Betty than the new, more stylish Betty we’ve been promised for season 4. It’s not that the top doesn’t match in general, but the floral pattern and crazy shoes just seem overdone. Betty’s hair IS perfectly straight, though.
I’ve said it before, Mabius looks great when he’s in his usual designer suit, but he also does casual quite well.
It appears that one side of Betty’s glasses are taped as if they had been broken; I wonder what the story is with that?
Finally, in this photo set was a strange one of a rather odd looking dog – the caption just said “America Ferrera’s dog”. Now, I’ve seen photos of America’s dogs visiting her on the set before; the ones I have seen are big dogs. My guess, based on the way the dog is “dressed”: maybe it’s part of the scene? Regardless, it’s cute.

am I wrong or there are 2 or 3 sticking plasters on daniel’s right hand?
I have only seen Ugly Betty a handful of times so I am hardly an expert… but I am dreaming or did I see them filming in Aldwych, London (next to the BBC Bush House and not far from Trafalgar Square) tonight (at around Midnight August 21/22)? There was a special London Black Cab with an actress in the backseat being filmed and I am 80+% sure it was America Ferrera.
I dunno why people are so against D/B, I mean just look @ em! Silvio is mental if he TRULY believes they are better off as “just friends”. Its complete BS and he knows it. Anyhow, I can’t wait 2 see this scene play out, btw I love they are cleaning up Betty this upcoming season. Her outfits arent as crazy as last season from wat we’ve seen so far and I love they hair, its bout time they did sumthing bout those bangs of hers lol

The dog is cute.I love Betty’s hair straight and that good for her.I like Daniel’s beard grow.Cant wait for 4 season come soon in 3 month
You know what’s interesting…her glasses aren’t bright red anymore…they appear to be dark red or even brown. It makes quite the difference to me!

It looks more like her glasses broke and she put on some white tape to fix it. Are we sure they are not the same glasses but just look dark because of the lightning?
And it looks like Daniel had been picking up fights and he’s healing the scars on his knuckles. And how sweet, he’s still got Molly’s ring.

All these picture are really great! It’s kind of nice to know that Betty hasn’t completely changed since the critiques that they were holding a while back with viewers made me fear that they were going to completely change her. I like how, little by little, she’s changing a bit every season. A gradual change is the best thing. I know that most viewers are pressing for a complete makeover and its nice to know that despite the ratings and the need to improve the show, the creators are not compromising their principles (which they would do if they gave her a complete makeover so early in the series) and the focus of the show in order to get more viewers. The Betty in the photos is still the same Betty, just a little improved. Her clothes also fit her in the photos and they don’t actually make her look bigger than she is (I really hate it when they do that).
In one of the photos that I saw on the original site, Betty has a cylinder shaped purse which made me a little bit frustrated just because of the silly purses that I remember her having during season 3.
About the dog, I have a theory: Maybe it’s Halston (Amanda’s dog)!
Also, about the tape on her glasses, I think I remember reading somewhere (maybe from the critique groups that were held in July) that she would bump into something like she did in the pilot episode and the 1st episode of season 2- so… maybe she broke her glasses and had to fix them??
They both seem so heartbroken…I hope that this will bond them even more!! Detty all the way no matter what Silvio Horta says!!!!
