frenchilo- whilst you ranked season 2 as the best, for me it is the worst. if season 3 had continued the way it did in season 2 and became just as OTT, and ridiculous then i would’ve lost faith in this show. season 2 was corny and childish, i mean, storylines such as dwarf trying to make out with alexis, betty acting nuts after spraying herself with fey sommers perfume were some of the silliest ever; the love triangle which i didn’t care for, even though i liked gio, got on my nerves.

if you thought that this is how ugly betty should be written and how the show should be approached, then well frankly, i hope the writers continue developing this show and work to the strengths of seasons 1 and 3, rather than season 2.

it’s an impressive finale. I was afraid of cheesy death moments like molly dieing in daniel’s arms, some who ’shot JR’ cliffhanger, or “choose me, choose me!” again. I’m also glad that daniel & matt are not half brothers, because daniel HAS TO be a meade. Maybe I should re-phrase: Daniel is not product of cal + claire… i like the twist where matt is really claire’s son who she put up for adoption. somehow victoria became the adoptive mother. that would be interesting. either case, Claire will be mother-in-law to betty, i think that would just be perfect.

OMG, i could not disafree mroe with you.

Season 2 will stil be the best for me.

This season finale, just like for desperate H, was disappointing and sooooo predictable. Besides everything (like the Daniel mania) sounded false. Well i will not develop but i just wish that next season will bring back the fun and some interesting storylines, which is exactly what this season failed tou do!

Miss Waiching Liu, I completely agree with you. I have loved almost every episode of season 3. Season 2 had too many dull Love triangle relationship problems for our Betty. There were good episodes in Season 2 such as: A Posh Wedding, ICU I See Me, and Giving Up The Ghost, but overall Season Two was much more boring. Season 3 brought a bunch of new changes, including visual changes. Everything LOOKS so wonderful and bright now. Season 3 has been great, especially after Christina gave birth, the whole second half of season 3 was amazing. My only complaint, I miss Alexis.

yes tom, season 2’s jump was a mess- in fact, that whole season for me was a total mess.

‘…But hour two of the finale was so good, I think it made what was a lackluster season a success.’

the second ep was really intense and amazing but i disagree with you on that last point. i liked season 3, a lot and whilst this season there were times where it got out of hand, i never really disliked it as much as the second season. but hey, everyone is entitled to their opinions. for me personally season 2 just didn’t cut it, whereas season 3 just did, particuarly the last few eps.

First off, I love reading everyone’s comments! Omgsh, I would never have thought that I would see Henry back on the show. It makes me miss him again It kind of makes me wish that they would’ve kept his character, even if he wasn’t Betty’s boyfriend. It would be nice seeing Henry, Betty, Marc, and Amanda gaining up and doing crazy things, kind of like season 2, lol. One last thing about Henry, I kind of don’t feel that this was a closure for this character. I say that because even in his interview that was posted here that he said Silvio still wants to use the Henry character occassionally. And the whole thing that they admitted they still will always having feelings for each other still gives me hope as a Benry fan, lol.

The second episode was awesome, seeing Betty and Marc fighting over the position was great. The last 5 minute of the show got me on the edge of my seat. It makes me so anxious about next season! Matt really did seem vengeful towards the end, but I understand his anger. It was sad when he told Betty that she was his first love. Ahhh! I can’t wait for the fall!

I cann’t agree with you guys more. It is a good show, sad, touching and shock. I havn’t recovered since Molly’s gone and breakup of Matt and Betty. In my opinion, both Betty and Matt need a little bit growing up in their relationship. I am hoping the big plan of Matt and Betty is excited and intresting. They have a great beginning, why cann’t diserve a mature and happy ending?
Eric Mabius do a good job, when he texted Betty and watch Betty like a heartbroken child. It’s really touching.

I agree with everyone here, the first hour was okay, but the second hour was where all the drama was & the last 10 minutes was when everything..closing some storylines & opening up some new ones. I’m glad that Henry came back & he & Betty were able to talk about any unresolved issues & left on a good note altho both of them conveyed that they will always have feelings for each other. The Daniel/Molly storyline was soooo sad & Eric Mabius did a good job. It was touching when he texted Betty & told her that he needed her…you know she will always be there for him.
I don’t know what to think of the Matt now. Kinda felt for him when he saw Betty kissing Henry (which I think Betty was partly to blame for not just telling him what happened) and when he told her that she was his first love…but when he told her that he would be seeing her everyday & that he was going to be her boss..boy that was cold just like he is going be around just to torture her. Is he becoming like his father? It will be interesting how they will interact being that they are now will be boss/employee..how much will Betty be able to handle..From what Silvio Horta was saying, they would have obstacles & misunderstandings before the finale which would set up for juicy storylines for season 4, but yet said that their relationship will be changing & growing. It was also mentioned that the show had BIG plans for Bety & Matt..so do you think they will work out their problems?
Tom, what’s your take on this???
BTW, can’t wait for your thoughts on the whole thing…
