Ugly Betty Episodes 3.23/3.24 (Season Finale) Promo

Here is the promo for Ugly Betty episodes 3.23 (Curveball), and 3.24 (The Fall issue), airing this Thursday on ABC at 8/7c. It’s a 2-hour event!
For a refresher, here are the synopses:
Ugly Betty” concludes the season with a shocking two-hour telecast, THURSDAY, MAY 21 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. In the first hour, entitled “Curveball” (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), just as Betty agrees to move in with Matt, Henry (guest star Christopher Gorham) pays a visit to NYC, forcing Betty to admit she still has feelings for her former fiance. Meanwhile, Betty and Marc wait to see if their YETI editor interviews resulted in actual jobs; Daniel’s transformation from playboy to devoted husband makes him a media darling; and Wilhelmina cozies up to Victoria Hartley to find out just what kind of connection Claire Meade has to Cal Hartley.
In “The Fall Issue” (9:00-10:00 p.m.), the sudden death of a Mode editor leaves Betty and Marc competing for the same job. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina demands that Claire tender her resignation at a big awards ceremony . . . or she’ll reveal Claire’s dark secret to Cal Hartley; Matt lets his jealousy over Henry get the best of him; and Justin nervously waits to see if he got into performing arts school.
What’s up with Pinhead Wilhelmina? It’s hilarious, whatever is going on.
“Curveball” is mostly going to be about the romantic tug Betty feels for both Matt and Henry. (Gee, where have I seen this before?) On the surface, whatever Matt’s failings, they have zeroes behind them, and money is the great male equalizer (said Bill Gates). But, Matt has been just awful the last few episodes. By comparison, Henry was good to her, and at least had a plan. (Yes, so did Gio). I have no idea how the writers think there should be any conflict here. Is there ANYTHING about Matt that makes him even remotely desirable? (Except for those zeroes?)
OK, off my soapbox.
3.24 looks to be wonderfully over-the-top. They’ve obviously figured out that Claire/Wilhelmina are wonderfully funny rivals. (Willi always gets the best of Daniel, but Claire can give as good as she gets).
I don’t know how I feel about Betty and Marc competing, after coming as close to besties as they’ll ever get this season.
Of course, expect a cliffhanger or two.
The first episode does seem romantic but maybe a bit too centered on Betty. Maybe not, but that’s what it seems to me. I personally think that Betty is better with Henry than with Matt, I mean, Matt does have a lot of money, but he’s kind of a jerk sometimes, and Henry is much sweeter to Betty and I always liked how he can be a geek but still have a hot body (remember the episode “Bananas for Betty”? god he looks really hot without a shirt on)
I think Wilhelmina is doing acupuncture in the preview. It’s usually used to de-stress or an alternative to deal with pain management.
My bet is maybe now it can be used to fight aging? Remember, Wilhemina and the duck treatment she used in season #1?
Y’know, as a Getty shipper I shouldn’t be saying this but…..OMG HENRY IS BACK AND I LOVE HIM!!!
*Ahem*

Anyway, good lord, Henry is back and they KISS!! YAY! And this may mean that Matt might go (I hate him)

Looking forward to the season finale..Although it’s a 2 hour finale, I guess they are separating it as two separate episodes as seen in the titles …dealing with Betty’s personal relationships & her professional career.Altho the storyline from the first epi. will probably continue in the second epi.
Henry’s return will be kind of interesting & how it will affect Betty while Matt is on the sidelines trying to keep his feelings intact. I think Henry seems better for her than Matt even tho as time went on Henry got a little flaky. Altho Matt has been kind of jerky as of late ( Betty hasn’t been straightforward herself..with good intentions tho), I kind of feel sorry for him esp. after he told her he was committed to her & professed his love for her. Even tho Matt has $$$, I don’t think it really has played a factor in their relationship per se. Betty’ s not obsessed over the fact that she has a rich boyfriend..
BTW, I read the interview with Chris Gorham in the latimes regarding his return to UB & what his thoughts are about on his character leaving, the new bf / Daniel Eric Gold, Henry not being the right guy for Betty, & how he returns.. It was a good article..
I’m so happy Henry come back,but I can’t believe Matt jealous of Henry but Matt is ok.I not sure if Matt and Betty might broke up,cuz she still feeling of Henry.Cant wait watch this Thursday *excited*

And I just hope they (at least briefly) clear up the whole Charlie/Samantha/Chloe thing (as in, wasn’t he just dating a girl named Samantha? etc.). And I hope they mention Nate, because pregnancies are good plot twists, but afterwards there are kids to deal with, haha! Most shows just forget about them after the first month or two (*ahem*Friends*ahem*). Can’t wait!

Ah, I’ve got a reason to like Matt: I’m just incredibly tired of Henry. Sure, Matt is a neurotic idiot, but Betty started season 2 by breaking up with Henry, and ended season 2 by breaking up with Henry, and now she’s going to end season 3 by trying to rekindle that? Just let her move on. I’m sure there’s a decent man out there for her who hasn’t got a kid from a past relationship and possibly two women on the side. She’s better than that.

I’ve missed you so much…Modes been needing your lighthearted goofy jokes and adorable smile, especially since there’s no funny Gio and Daniel is just a bore now. just please never mention Charlie or Nate ever again, thanks!

Thanks, I just read them. Man, Gorham hit the nail on the head with every single point he made! I felt like I was reading my own thoughts, lol.
I’m quite excited to see the finale & see the return of Henry (again). Why does he need to come back & stir up trouble for Betty when things will finally seem to be going well for her & Matt… and also tug at her heart emotionally. From the way they described it in the press release, Henry “forces” Betty to admit she still has feelings for him. I’m sure Betty still has feelings for him, but I wonder if it’s more being caught up in the moment..when she unexpectedly runs into him / his appearance is different from the last time she saw him.. It seems she hasn’t thought about him much since she heard that he had a new girlfriend & appeared to have moved on… so she did the same with Matt. I wonder if they are going to make light of the situation about Gio..maybe Henry figures she chose to Rome with Gio when she turned down his marriage proposal.
Poor Matt, although he can be a headcase at times, he will be trying to keep his feelings in check. With all his faults, Betty is one thing he has that is constant in his life & now it’s being threatened by Henry. (in the promo it looked like he saw Henry & Betty kissing) Because of their history together, insecurity & jealousy will set in & Matt will feel like he’s going to lose her to her ex. We know Matt professed his love for her in the last episode, but has Betty told him the same yet. I’ve only seen her mention it in the promo for the finale where it looks she’s telling someone she loves Matt, but when she saw Henry again it took her breathe away.
Just read the interview with CG… it was a good read. This is the first time I think Chris has been candid about his character, the show, & etc. It sounds like he keeps track on what’s going on UB. It’s kinda funny that Henry comes to NY with his girlfriend & he’s hoping to run into Betty & he’s updating his Facebook every five minutes. If Betty was keeping up with Facebook, he would have probably known that she has a boyfriend now, but it doesn’t appear that she does or she would have known that he would be in NY.
I thought it was nice of him to give Daniel Eric Gold some encouragement.
