Vanessa Williams Releasing New Album in June
Sometimes an album comes out in June
Sometimes the sun goes round the moon.
The stars of Ugly Betty have all been keeping busy, and Vanessa Williams is no exception. The singer/actress is getting her song back, by releasing The Real Thing, on Concord Records, June 2.
This is her first album in 4 years. It will have an interesting style, as well: a mixture of jazz, samba, salsa, pop and R&B.
"I had been wanting to do a Latin-flavored album since I played a ballroom dancer in the (salsa) movie Dance With Me," Williams says.
Her Ugly Betty schedule will keep Vanessa from touring extensively, but she does plan introduce new music at shows in Atlantic City in May.

I love Williams’ voice, and can’t wait to hear the new music!

My friend Rob and I were just discussing how much we miss listening to Vanessa’s music. I can’t wait!
