Rebecca Romijn Set to Star in ABC’s ‘Eastwick’
March 10, 2009 by Tom
Well, I wonder if we’ll be seeing Rebecca Romijn on Ugly Betty anytime soon? According to Variety, Romijn has signed on to headline the ABC pilot “Eastwick”. Also starring are Lindsay Price, Veronica Cartwright and Jaime Ray Newman.
Yes, as you might have guessed, the series is based on the John Updike book, “The Witches of Eastwick”, along with the 1987 movie of the same name.
“Eastwick” revolves around three women who discover they have mystical powers when a mysterious man comes to town. Jack Nicholson was marvelous in this role in the film.
Here’s an oddity from the Variety story: Romijn is next going to be in an indie film called “The Love Child of Andy Warhol and Yoko Ono.” Sweet. I have no idea what it means, but the title alone makes the film intriguing.
Also, according to the story, Rebecca is still “recurring” on Ugly Betty. Let’s hope she comes back at least a little. I’d like to see her every now and then; when the writers actually let her be funny, she was a joy to watch.
Finally, does the woman work out 10 hours a day? My goodness, you’d never know she just had twins.

It would be such a joy to have Rebecca back on Ugly Betty. When I first saw the beginning of the headline and picture my heart jumped as I thought she was returning. I was a little disappointed, but perhaps now that she is back in the game we will hear from her again? =D
I think she’s still mentioned as ‘recurring’ because that was part of her contract for Season 3 – even though she’s not really on anymore.
But regardless of this new part, I think there’s always a possibility that we’ll see her on UB again in the future – even if it’s just for a few episodes here and there. Besides, who knows if her new show will do well? It might tank. (No offense to these actors, but seriously – you never know.)
i don’t think we have seen the last of rebecca as alexis. as i definitely think that if the writers decide to come up with a storyline involving that character, then i’m sure that we’ll see her appear in an episode or two on the show.
