Ugly Betty Episode 3.17 Live Blog
March 5, 2009 by Tom
Welcome to the weeklylive blog of a new episode of Ugly Betty! This week’s episode is 3.17, Sugar Daddy.
The Suarez family try to come up with the cash to buy their rental home after their landlord decides to sell, with Ignacio even entering a TV cook-off with celebrity chef Frankie Burrata (Steve Schirripa, “The Sopranos”). Meanwhile, the Mode staff deals with the shocking aftermath of recent events.
I’m really looking forward to the “cook-off”. Papi’s going to be fine; I think the Ignacio collapsing we see in the promo is a temporary thing added for dramatic effect.

Well, it’s my man, Brian Tanen, writing tonight. I’m definitely coming.
I think “Metty” would make a better name for the pairing. Great couple, you can tell they’re really into each other.
Metty? i used to call it like that. But I was growing fond of Batty already :-/
I want to see fans of the ships to organize the forums out there. Jetty never took off. So I’ll sit and wait for new Batties or Metties to lead the boards.
“You drive me batty!” hahahahaaahah I loved this episode
Matt is actually kinda cute. And I’m all for calling it Team Batty!
I’ll admit I was kind of bitter with the whole bringing Henry up for no apparent reason (getting my hopes up) and then this, but since I saw Chris Gorham has an awesome role in his new show, I’m cool with it.
Matt is really cute, but his personality isn’t really hugely interesting to me. I feel like I don’t really know him at all, except for that he’s a nice guy.
The whole episode was pretty predictable but enjoyable.
I was hoping the Molly storyline was coming to an end because it’s my least favorite of the show, but I guess they’re continuing it?
i liked this ep, must be the writer! This is the kind can bring the show back on track.
I kinda like Matt, reminds me of Josh Grobin. Although, aren’t they moving a bit fast to “meet the parents”? Can’t believe they are bring Molly back though, and really have her die in daniel’s arms? Hows’ that going to be comedy material?
To the question about Justin’s song-
It’s “Money” from the musical Cabaret.
Yah, I think I’m going to have to go with calling the ship Batty….it has a ring to it
.
This episode was classic Brian Tanen. He is by far my favorite writer on this show.
