Ugly Betty Episode 3.15 Promo

February 16, 2009 by Tom

Here is the promo for Ugly Betty episode 3.15, “There’s No Place Like Mode” (thanks, B&B).

I think that those of you who have been complaining about the show becoming too much of a family drama (I agree, for the most part), are really going to enjoy this episode. Look what we have!

  • Fashion Week.
  • Marc (and Amanda) running the show. Cue the landmines!
  • Betty in a ridiculous outfit for the right reasons.
  • Christina having her baby! On the runway!

It’s always hard to tell just from the promos, but I think this might be the best episode of the season (so far). The rules are different for Ugly Betty than other shows. Betty is at its best when it jumps the shark. It needs to jump the shark. Maybe not every week, but over-the-top is what Ugly Betty does best.

And, Michael Urie is at his best when he’s taking charge and organizing the chaos. I’ll bet he really enjoyed filming this one.

For the first time in a while, I’m really looking forward to this episode. What about you?

actually, for the exception of ‘the courtship of betty’s father’, i quite enjoyed the last few episodes. though i do agree, there needs to be more humour on the show to balance it out. i saw the promo on you tube and it looks like it is going to be worth the wait. and i’m so looking forward to christina giving birth. and about time too.

whilst the family component is important, it is the stuff outside of it taking place that is more interesting. i.e at mode. this one will probably be more reminscent of the ‘im coming out’ ep from season 1, which is a great thing indeed. it should be worth the wait.

Well I guess I am also looking forward to some funny situations. Fashion week is always a good thing for laughs. I am also looking forward to this episode to see if they live up to “I’m coming out” and if they are going to mirror Henry/Betty somehow as they introduce Matt for the first time.
Christina giving birth: finally! Yay! But please don’t let this be an excuse to take her character out of the show for good. :(
I’m really looking forward to Marc and Amanda!! Urie’s character excells discipline and talent, he is only tainted by his dual morality even though he is a nice person deep deep very deep inside. And you never know if being sorta-evil is really good for his career or not (it helped Willy get where she was).

omg i cant wait for this episode, its gonna be so great with marc and amanda help running the fashion week and then christina having wilhelminas baby, omg i cant wait. I just wanna see how the baby is gna change wilhelmina and whether her and connor are gonna last (i hope they do coz they are the best couple to be on the show so far). nico-babii (massive ugly betty fan) x x x x x

I have to say, in my opinion, Mark and Amanda are some of the most satisfying characters of ANY show. They literally have the ability to leave me in tears (of laughter.) I hope they hit us head on in this episode!

And yay, Christina is having her baby!

Also, I’m wondering…what exactly is Wilhelmina going to DO with said baby!? I wonder if the show is going to take her in a more family oriented direction? That would work well dramatically, and maybe even comically as she learns the ropes of parenthood. But then again, that’s not the type of comedy we expect from Wilhelmina.

Anybody happen to know the name of the artist and title of the track they play during the runway show of this episode? Cant seem to figure it out…
