Christine Baranski Lands Role on Ugly Betty

Our friend Ausiello from EW has this great news: Christine Baranski will join the cast of Ugly Betty for at least a 3-episode arc! She will play the mother of new character Matt (played by the tastefully 3-named Daniel Eric Gold), and apparently she will be a socialite.
The wonderful actress Baranski just finished up filming a stint as Leonard’s mother on Big Bang Theory, which will air in March as Betty goes on hiatus.
The guest-star casting on Ugly Betty has been hit (David Blue, Ralph Macchio) or miss (Lindsay Lohan, Christian Siriano), but this one is rock-solid. Baranski is a brilliantly funny actress, and I can’t wait to see her on the screen with America Ferrera!

They WHY they had to give so little screen time to the “HIT” characters?! grr… Anyway, I can’t also wait to see Baranski torment Betty (and I am saying this for the sake of comedy, not only to torture her for being so silly this season). which makes me wonder… Matt is not going to be a momma’s boy, is he? Oh boy…
I’m guessing that this means she will be one of Bradford’s former conquests, which means that our Betty will be dating Daniel’s baby brother….
Hey Schmeagola. Now that would be interesting. yet another brother to Daniel… humm… doesn’t look so bad in the latest abcmedianet picture, quite a bit grown up. I wonder if Matt is going to be a spoiled but smart guy. Anyways, not exactly Daniel’s “baby brother” because that would be Wilhelmina’s spawn. hehehe…
The Meades are getting bigger by the minute.
Add another great musical theater actress to the list of guest stars. And I loved Baranski as Maryann on Cybill Shepherd’s self-titled 1995 sitcom.
