Vanessa Williams Shows Her Christmas Spirit

I stumbled across this quite by accident.  Here is video of Ugly Betty’s Vanessa Williams singing a couple of Christmas classics.  Fair warning: they are heavy on religiosity, in case that sort of thing bothers you, and you are easily offended.

You really need to watch the second half, if anything.  Williams, just a wee bit younger in 1993, really shows off her pipes here.  I had forgotten just what a great singer she was/is. 

(Yes, I know she is lip syncing).  Nevertheless, she sang the amazing recording.  Her high notes are perfectly pitched, without that annoying “look at me” quality you get from other divas.

She looked beautiful, of course, but I think Williams has gotten better with age.

Anyway, since we won’t have a new Ugly Betty airing till January, I’ll probably post some more of these before Christmas.  It’s good to see this side of Wilhelmina/ Williams
