Have A Bettyfied Thanksgiving!

For our American readers, I’d like to extend a most heartfelt happy Thanksgiving to you from Ugly Betty News.
We in the US take this Thursday every year to reflect on and give thanks for our blessings. And, realistically, to eat a huge meal, watch football, and prepare for the biggest shopping day of the year, which falls tomorrow.
One of my favorite episodes of Ugly Betty was 1.08, Four Thanksgivings and a Funeral. This episode was centered around Thanksgiving in 2006 and was probably the funniest ever. If you recall, Santos came to visit the Suarezes, and gave Justin a gift of a full NY Jets uniform (Justin called it a “costume”). He then proceeded to put the jock strap over his head, thinking it was part of a Phantom of the Opera getup. The look on Santos face was priceless.
Also, Marc and Amanda hang out in the Mode offices and get drunk, since they have nowhere else to go. The montage of the two of them trying on dresses and prancing around Wilhelmina’s office still makes me laugh to this day. It was really where we knew that Michael Urie and Becki Newton had a chemistry that HAD to be featured on the show.
If you have the season 1 DVD, watch this episode some time today. It really should be a Thanksgiving tradition. Maybe ABC could rerun it every year?
As for me, I am thankful for the fact that I get to obsess over write about my favorite show, and I get to hang out with the smartest, friendliest fans in the world while doing it.
So, I’ll be thinking of you while cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, cornbread dressing, corn pudding, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole – probably not what Betty would be having, I guess.

Hey, Tom! I am one of your readers from mainland China, yep, the misterioso or mysterious nation of all time. Don’t be shock, we have Ugly Betty here, and the Pearl TV station broadcasts the show. And to get the latest episode, lots of the fans here will choose to download, illegally. You’ve probably know us from Tyra’s show, America’s Next Top Model. She kinda chose Shanghai to be the it city for the show, around cycle 6 or 7, I can’t recall. Anyway, happy Thanks giving! We love your articles! Just can’t imagine the world without your viewpoints and those live blogs about Betty. Thanks for your contribution to all of these. Keep doing it; we will be your everlasting fans.

although it sucks that UB is on hiatus for 2 weeks, but of course, we can always rewatch the previous episodes of season 3, until it fully resumes.
