Ugly Betty Episode 3.10 Promo

Here is the promo for Ugly Betty episode 3.10, Bad Amanda, which airs December 4th.
The synopsis:
Betty is forced to take a page from scam-artist Amanda’s book when the two, both cash-strapped, team up for a Mode website article about “How I Blew Ten Grand Without Spending a Dime” during a night on the town in NYC they’ll never forget.
This one is going to be Amanda-heavy, which of course means it just has to be funny. I have visions of Amanda going all in, and Betty trying to keep the whole thing grounded in reality. Betty will end up being embarrassed more than once in this episode, I’d imagine.
We also know that this will be the episode that will feature Bernadette Peters and Nikki Blonsky, so there will be lots of the usual Ugly Betty guest star magic.
It’s a little concerning that we have no idea what’s going to happen with any other characters besides Betty and Amanda. What about the love parallelogram? Marc and Cliff? Marc in YETI? Justin and his troubles with Randy and the other kids at school? Hilda and the councilman?
And, for cryin’ out loud, CHRISTINA’s BABY!?!?! Shouldn’t the writers at least touch on the second most important story line of season 2?
Maybe they will, and the folks at ABC just want to surprise us with the writers’ excellent work. I sure hope so. Come on, next Thursday!
Tom, I was just wondering how you know that this is the episode in which Bernadette Peters and Nikki Blonsky will appear. I’ve been looking at the usual spoiler sites and haven’t seen any of the specifics about their episode(s) yet. I wasn’t even sure if they were both going to be in the same episode.

Now, if the info turns out to be untrue, I’ll have egg on my face, but I can flag the source as unreliable. But, my insticts tell me it’s true, because if this season goes like the other two, after Bad Amanda, Ugly Betty will probably be on a hiatus until the first of the year.
That doesn’t necessarily mean both Peters and Blonski will be on THIS episode, so I’ve got my fingers crossed

Thanks. I was just curious, because I haven’t really seen much information about their guest appearances, other than the initial casting news. I’m sure your sources are reliable.
Actually, the source is wrong. Bernadette Peters and Nikki Blonsky will appear in Episode 3.11, “Dressed for Success”, not Episode 3.10.
This info was also confirmed recently in the latest “Ugly Betty” podcast, when Michael and Becki interviewed Nikki.
I got the impression from the last paragraph on that page that they were just tacking a couple bits of casting news at the end of their “Bad Amanda” information. The wording was a bit vague, though, so I could see why people would think that perhaps these guests were going to be in “Bad Amanda.”

As you can see, they didn’t specifically say that Bernadette Peters or Nikki Blonsky would be in “Bad Amanda”. It’s a little oblique.
