Becki Newton At Fontainebleau – Hot Or Just Weird?

Here are a couple of photos of Ugly Betty’s Becki Newton at the Fountainebleau Miami Beach Grand Opening recently. In the first, with her hubby Chris Diamantopoulos, they look like the perfect pair. Becki always looks wonderful from the back 
The two are, of course, a gorgeous couple. Perhaps you’ve seen the photos of the two of them at Miami Beach around the same time. (No, I don’t think Becki is pregnant)
But then, Becki does a solo shot from the front, and O. M. G.
Is it a hospital gown? The kind of smock you wear when having your hair done? That thing they make you put on when you’re having x-rays done?
Don’t get me wrong – Becki would be beautiful wearing, well, just about anything. And I love the colors. But, to my fashion layman’s eyes, the cut of this dress is just distracting. I know Becki takes fashion chances, and I appreciate that, but I’m just not feeling it.
Love the shoes, though.
So, tell me, UB fashionistas. I’ve always been up front that my fashion sense is pretty non-existent. So, I rely on you, because many of you are in the fashion biz, others are into fashion far more than I.
How do you think she looks?

Okay, my thoughts….
I’ve never loved print, and to be honest… That’s a bad print. Taking chances: Great. But the print comes off as wallpaper-y instead.
Other problems with the outfit: The top part is just strange. It makes her look both flat and wide. The arms from the front or strange (it looks fine in the back though… oddly. I suspect because the front looks like it was just fold it). The keyhole cut looks out-of-place in such a matronly cut and print. If they had gone more bohemian or more “sexy” like a halter…
But I do suspect the main culprit of the weirdness to be the cut. It’s straight down, not showing off becki’s curves. It might not be so bad had she quickly belted it. You see in the back view, with correct lighting to make it deeper, and her figure showing, it’s really not bad.
I would’ve also liked more accessories.
And one more thing. With the first picture, because everything is darker, the chunky-rocker shoes and bracelet (or watch?) looks great. But with the front view, the dress turns out to be too light/bright, so… it doesn’t work.
That’s my 2c. But I’m not a fashionista either, so I could be wrong. XD
Her Greek husband is hot!! I am Greek too and I have to say that we Greek people are hooooot!!
To tell you the truth I am not loving the drees but I think she might wants to hide a baby bump…

i’m no fashionista.. but any i’m positive that a dress that has absolutely no shape is not flattering on anyone! She needs at least a belt or something. Both the cut and the print does make it look like a hospital gown-ish.. love the color & the material though.
