Video of Val Emmich’s Song Featured in Ugly Betty
Here is the video of “Get On With It” by Val Emmich, the song that was featured on Ugly Betty in episode 3.07 (Crushed).
I can tell you the mark of a good song: when a song sticks in your head after hearing it, even to the point where you hum it when you first wake up the next morning, that’s a pretty good sign.
Emmich has been one of the pleasant surprises of the season so far. In my experience, I’ve seen plenty of musicians in guest starring roles on television, and most of them ranged between forgettable and awful. But, Val Emmich has been charming without being overbearing. He’s got a future as an actor.
Yes, his character has broken Betty’s heart, but Jesse’s biggest fault has been misreading Betty’s intentions.
I really liked the snippet of his song “snowy day”. In it, he shows a lot of range. I’d say Val has a pretty good future as a musician, as well. :)
Now, dear readers, I have a question for you. If you had the opportunity to interview Emmich (hint, hint), what would you ask? Throw a few at me!

Hummm… an interview with Val Emmich. He seems nice and down-to-earth. Let me see… from the top of my head:
I would like to know how does he keeps his feet so grounded and still maintain his private life with so many commitments (I think he is married, right?)
And since he is a musician, an actor, a writer. Which is his real passion? How would he like to be remembered in the future?
How would he define Jesse as a character? Does he relate to him or his worries in the musical career?
Will he be in more episodes? How does it feel to work with the Ugly Betty cast? Which is his favorite Ugly Betty character (besides Jesse)?
What would he advice to girls like Betty when trying to hit on a boy like Jesse? Would Jesse be more interested in a girl like Amanda or a girl like Betty?
… okay, I can’t think of more now.

Oh and I love Get on with it!!! I even made a fanvid of it in youtube. The song is so catchy… great work there!
“Snowy day” is sweet and it’s so nice he made it for the show.
Was it intended for Amanda, Betty or another girl in the crowd?

is he done with ugly betty?! because in the last season he was on, he was making out with amanda. i hope something works out with him and betty, and they have a little romance. coz he’s so hot! i hope they have him for a couple of more episodes. does anyone knows if he stays?!

In one interview he says he would still be in a “bunch” of other episodes and that the Ugly Betty filming schedule was up until april. So… i think there will be more episodes with Val Emmich.
