On October 20th, Ugly Betty star Becki Newton attended the 2008 Whitney Museum of American Art Gala in New York City. She wore a purple Versace frock and was joined by quite an array of actors, including Patrick Dempsey, Jane Krakowski and singer Mariah Carey…just to name a few.

Becki had to make a mad dash to the event straight from the Ugly Betty set. USA Today caught up with the star and said she was very tight-lipped about any plot developments on the show. She spilled a little news: “In the next few episodes we can see Betty’s new apartment life gets invaded by an unwelcomed visitor. It’s not a new person. That’s all I can give you. No more. Done!” Yeah, I’d say that’s pretty tight-lipped!

As you all know, Lindsay Lohan will reprise her role as Kimmie in this week’s episode 3.05 “Granny Pants”. When asked about Lindsay’s return, she said, “She comes back into Betty’s life and may or may not come into Mode and make some friends and make some enemies. We had a really good time working with her.”
