Here is the second set of promo pics from Ugly Betty episode 3.07, “Chrush’d”.
Betty works overtime to get the attention of her cute neighbor, struggling musician Jesse (guest star Val Emmich). Meanwhile, Betty’s life gets even more complicated when a maxed out and suddenly homeless Amanda becomes her temporary roommate. And in other Mode developments, Marc vacillates when Cliff (guest star David Blue) wants them to move in together.

I’ve been trying to figure out the name of Jesse’s band, based on the banner behind Val Emmich. It’s “Dark Sexual [something]“. The Ugly Betty writers always seem to have fun with proper names: I loved “The Beer Hole”.
The themed party, based on the pics, might have been organized by Amanda to raise money, and it MIGHT literally be related to Jesse’s show. But, part of me thinks the two scenes aren’t related.
Ignacio in the over-the-top sombrero is a hoot. He doesn’t look very pleased.
I love how Amanda makes herself at home in Betty’s apartment! She’s got a big bowl of something; Amanda really is skinny for a girl who binge eats as much as she does (not withstanding 2.01 and 2.02 – I like to pretend “Fat Amanda” never happened).

Is it just me, or are Justin and Amanda wearing the same sparkly jacket in 2 of those pictures? Maybe Amanda borrowed it, or vice versa.
This sounds like it’ll be a good episode but it’s pretty depressing without that DJ.I’m younger then alot of the rest of you people who comment on here (most likely yes) and am as crazy about DJ as all you who were all obsessed with Gio.
“Dark Sexual Journey” is my guess.

I’m sorry for you girls who will be missing DJ. It’s not fun to lose your favorite character. Maybe he’ll be back from time to time.
Yeah, you must be much younger than me because the actor who plays DJ just turned 12 this summer. I have children older than him.
I have a feeling Amanda and Betty are the ones to help organize this concert for Jesse. If Betty gets her heart broken by Jesse, I won’t be surprised if she finds him making out with Amanda. Rocker types never go for normal looking girls like Betty when hot girls throw themselves on them 24/7. Hopefully this is a lesson Betty needs to learn before finding the right guy or appreciating a guy who already likes her for who she is (Gio!). Looks do matter to some guys and a good personality or helping him achieve his goals often won’t matter.
