Pics,Video Of Lindsay Lohan in Ugly Betty Episode 3.01

Lindsay Lohan had her first real guest starring role in Ugly Betty this past Thursday, in episode 3.01, The Manhattan Project. I’ll be honest, she surpassed my expectations.

She took part in what I thought was one of the funniest scenes Ugly Betty has had for a while (right behind Amanda singing “Milkshake”). The food fight (especially the lead-up to it) were laugh-out-loud funny. “Oh, no, you didn’t!”…”Oh, yes, I did! And it felt good!” (combined with Hilda finger-snap). Here’s the video:
Later, when the two are making up, Lohan displays that vulnerability beneath the mean girl facade that makes her likeable. I knew from Mean Girls and Confessions of a Teenaged Drama Queen that she had pretty honed acting chops for a “celebutard”, as Marc St James calls them.
If this is stunt casting, Ugly Betty made the right choice. I have a feeling that things are not going to end well between Betty and Kimmie, but there is no denying that her character adds a certain punch to Betty’s life away from work.
More pics after the jump.

Oh, and for good measure, here’s one of Betty in her new apartment (having a bad day)

JAJAJA that’s right, this scene was hilarious
Hilda was my favourite in this scene. I love her when she gives attitude
I missed most of the episode, but that clip was awesome. I can’t wait to see more of Lindsay as Kimmie
Lindsay honestly needs to get back to acting. She has SOME talent there, (or maybe it’s the good writers, Hilda, Betty, and just my general love of UB). I loved this scene, and she surprised me with how good she was. I’ve always liked her, until shortly after Mean Girls.
Why would you want to be tabloid queen when you actually have some talent, unlike, say, Paris Hilton or Britney Spears? Hopefully, UG’s cast might rub something off her, and this is just the beginning of her return. Can’t wait to see more of Kim.
I am glad I am the only who was disappointed w/Lindsay’s performance in this and the subsequent scene. As a moderator of a Lindsay forum, I hope I don’t know what I’m talking about. I am sorry to say I don’t see any directors looking at this and saying, “I gotta get Lindsay, too.”
I don’t see much depth in her character or her acting here. I think her performance was flat, and her voice was scratchy and thin (time to quite butts yet?). I think America and Ana eat Lindsay for lunch in this scene.
The entire episode itself was good, and the ending was great with America dancing to “American Girl.” This America rocks.
