Marc And Mandy: Behind The Scenes At Mode
This is hi - larious! Michael Urie and Becki Newton recently did a “behind the scenes at Mode” video for Elle Magazine, in their Ugly Betty characters. The results were, of course, very funny:
It’s a little weird that Newton seems to have the mic, meaning many times that it’s hard to hear Urie, but I guess that just adds to the homemade “realism”.
The absolute best part is when Amanda sits in the big chair and “acts like a doll”. The tour of WIlhelmia’s office is funny all around. It recreates a little of that magic from “Four Thanksgivings and a Funeral”.
They have a very serious conversation about which Olsen sister they love and which one they hate. Also, Amanda tells us about the stressful parts of her job (”Do I put line one on hold? Or let the second caller go to voice mail?”).

Everybody’s favoritest fabulousest dynamic duo… My fav part is the beginning, where Amanda is repeating everything Marc says. In partic, Amanda’s hot facial expressions, esp the eyebrows. Wow. “Bring it.” …Loves it.

awesome vid. they are just brilliant. both michael and becki have great timing and delivery of their lines as marc and amanda. ugly betty will never be the same without those two

My favorite part is when Amanda repeats “Does she look like this?” and the end when she says “You can’t just put a monkey behind the desk” and then begins eating a banana *lol*
