Ugly Betty Set Photo: Daniel and Daniel Junior

Ugly Betty has been filming pretty heavily lately, and the New York location means we there are a lot of set photos coming out – some spoiler-ish, some just make us scratch our heads.
This one is neither. Yesterday, Eric Mabius filmed scenes with child actor Julian De La Celle, who is playing Daniel Jr. Of all the story arcs featured in Ugly Betty, this is the one that I have no idea where the producers will take it.
One thing we know for sure – Daniel and Daniel Jr. have a common love for beautiful women, and baseball.
There is another question about Daniel, and his place at Meade publications, along with his relationship with Betty, that are raised in another set of photos. I will be posting those shortly, so stay tuned.

Those are definitely some cute pictures. I like seeing Daniel bond with “Daniel Jr.” However, I’m not entirely convinced yet that Daniel is indeed the boy’s father. In fact, I’ve seen a lot of fans say that, and I’d have to agree with them at this point. Something seems “off” about the whole situation…
i think daniel will be a GREAT dad. maybe not at first, but i think he’ll get really good at it really fast
Hmm…I have to agree with Jace. Since the DNA test did not come back yet, we don’t know for sure if Daniel is the father. And somehow, I don’t think he is. To me, the letter that the boy’s mother wrote isn’t really sufficient enough to prove much.
I do love the pictures, though. But it will be sad if the rug gets pulled out from under Daniel’s feet on this one.
Ah! Thanks Tom for the pic. They look so lovely. I have heard that the child was going to be in a few episodes (does anyone remember the casting call months ago?) so probably it´s not Daniel true child. But still, I love their pictures together. The character Daniel was in need of good deep storylines and this one is perfect!
Yeah, I don’t think he’s really Daniel’s kid either. I’m still on the “Alex(is) is the father” boat at the moment, particularly since the paternity test results haven’t come in yet. And the fact that Daniel is taking to fatherhood so well, at least so these photos make it seem, just further convinces me the kid isn’t his.
I suspect it’s a plot tool to help Daniel mature, and once that’s happened it will turn out the kid isn’t his and he’ll be able to face life with his new grown up perspective, sans child.
Perhaps the twist will be that Daniel, having found that he wants to be a father to Daniel Jr, and that he’s also good at it, has this stolen away from him by Alexis, just as Alex/Alexis has stolen things from him his whole life. I can see this being the pivotal point – Daniel either comes fighting back or he goes into a decline and Betty has to haul him out of it and together they wreak their revenge on Alexis and Wilhemina. Or it could just be me wishful-thinking!
I agree with the people who think that Daniel Jr. is not Daniels son and is Alexis. I too would feel extremely horrible if that would happen, but my bet is that Alexis is the father and that sucks.
What I don’t get is in that letter Daniel Jr’s mom wrote to him explaining who his father is- how did it go?
And please help me out here-
Did they mention anything about Daniel Jr’s grandparents in Jump? I can’t remember…
Julian De La Celle will be returning this upcoming season?! YES!!!! I’m so thrilled right now. And by what I see, he’s looking good.
I just adore him! He’s a tiny bit younger then me but I just love younger men.
