Ugly Betty Guest Stars We Love: Victor Garber

June 20, 2008 by Tom

Victor Garber

Character on Ugly Betty: Professor Barrett, Betty’s (short lived) writing teacher.

Main Characteristic:  Overbearing and steeped in melodrama, he’s just like every creative writing teacher I’ve ever known. However, he takes a liking to Betty, and tries to get her story published.

Most Famous For:  He’s been in just about everything over his career, going back to the 70’s, but he’s probably best known for the character Jack Bristow in Alias.

Ugly Betty Episodes: 2.04 – Grin and Bear It.

Best Moment: After hearing Betty’s fake story about surviving a bear attack, he yells at the rest of the class, “That is exactly what I want! Why can’t the rest of you get attacked by a bear?”

This post is part of a 24-hour marathon being held on June 20th called The Blog Off. I’ll be posting one post per hour all day for charity. You can help contribute, by offering posts (which enters you in a contest) or donating to The Actors Fund charity.
