Ugly Betty Episode 2.16 Live Blog

Come join us for our weekly gathering of Ugly Betty fans as we watch and comment on epiisode 2.16: “Betty’s Baby Bump”. this week, we get to welcome Eddie Cibrian (we’ll have an optional drinking game based on the number of times Cibrian is seen shirtless). The rivalry with Charlie continues, although Betty will try to make a peace offering. The synopsis:
Betty switches gears with rival Charlie (guest star Jayma Mays) and tries to befriend her by throwing a baby shower, a party that no one will ever forget. Meanwhile, Hilda confronts Justin’s PE teacher (guest star Eddie Cibrian as Coach Diaz) when she learns Justin is flunking gym; Daniel unravels after his break-up with Renee, and Christina finally learns who fathered the baby she’s carrying for Wilhelmina.

it was a pretty good episode…but nothing special.
I think the ending was so emotional though! America is an amazing actress.
Good,funny and sad episode.America Ferrera is did good emotion with cry and sad this episode.I love her and she is my idol model
I loved it! Great episode, I LOVED all the Charlie and Betty interaction…it was nice to see that Charlie IS catty and mean, but she is also human. That’s one thing I really like about “Ugly Betty.” Amanda was priceless, loved her coming to the baby shower…loved Christina and Daniel showing up, too–it’s hilarious when Betty’s work world collides with the Suarez family.
I thought all of the Betty and Henry stuff is great, from Henry leaving snacks to their talk about them obsessing about time. Angsty ending, but I expected it…and they are still so much in love and good for each other, I know whatever happens they will get back together someday even if there is a break!
I like that Daniel is getting some character development, good for him.
I rate this episode a 7 out of 10. The far fetched storyline involving Betty and Charlie was very telenovela-esque although it really grated on my nerves. Henry was SO ANNOYING in this episode but then the writers made us love him all over again when he held his baby boy for the first time. Hilda was great as usual and I absolutely love the new storyline involving her and Coach Diaz. The bottomline is that Ugly Betty triumphs when the show focuses on Betty, family, her career and real life situations. I’m wasn’t too keen on the whole Renee ordeal, the Alexis ordeal, and the Charlie back in New York ordeal (way too forced). With episodes like this one Betty is back on the right track.
