Ugly Betty’s America Ferrera To Host Hot In Hollywood!

America Ferrera is going to HOST this year’s Hot In Hollywood gala fundraiser, according to a report in US Magazine. We told you in August about the Ugly Betty star’s performance at the last event – along with cast mates Micheal Urie and Becki Newton, and Rebecca Romijn’s husband Jerry O’Connell.
Ferrera says, “I bought a table the first year with friends and had so much fun watching the performances. Performing in the second year was an honor and a ton of fun… I can’t wait to host this year’s event. This is a cause dear to my heart.”
Hot In Hollywood is an annual charity event held to benefit AIDS Healthcare Foundation and Real Medicine, a disaster relief organization. This year’s event will be held at the Avalon nightclub on August 16 (My birthday! Anyone want to buy me tickets?).
Something tells me many other Ugly Betty cast members will show up. The footage of Urie, Newton, Mark Indelicato,Vanessa Williams, Ana Ortiz, and Chris Gorham (among others) would almost make up for the musical episode we were denied this year.
I love how this cast is full of people giving back and making a difference in their communities! I would love to see footage of musical numbers, but I am looking forward to the real musical next year, since it sounds like it is still in the works!
