Best Henry Moment of Ugly Betty Season 2, So Far

This is my absolute favorite “Henry” moment of this season, when Amanda and Marc are teasing him about his name (and to drive home the high school bullying theme, Amanda even flicks his ear!). It’s from episode 2.03, Betty’s Wait Problem. His response is so strong, both Amanda and Marc walk away slightly aroused.
…in Dutch it means “he who gives the fairest price for his bricks”. Hopefully, the writer of that classic line is still on staff. That might be my favorite line of the season by any character. Also, Henry looking at SoCuteItsSick.com to calm down is a nice touch.
Henry has had some GREAT moments this year so far, not least of which was doing ‘It Takes Two’ with Betty at the end of episode 2.13, A Thousand Words By Friday. If the writers are going to push Gio away, hopefully, we’ll see more of this side of Henry.
So, what was your favorite “Henry” moment this year?
Not entirely a total Henry moment, just thought it was funny.
Amanda: And I won’t be able to meet my father if I don’t find a band
Henry: Wait, you need a band?
Amanda: Yeeesss. Do you know where I can find onnnee?
*Henry lifts flyer*
Amanda: Oh my god! I need to call these people right away.
*phone rings*
Henry: Hello Amanda..
Oh yea, I loved that other Henry/Amanda exchange, the one with the band/lead singer argument. Henry is amazing and he better not leave for good. Even if he’s not Betty’s boyfriend anymore, he can’t leave the show forever!
“The sweet like sugar, soft like suede…” lines when Henry was chanelling his inner Kenny. Perfect delivery added with unexpectiveness coming from his character, made that scene.
Hard to say because I love every single one of his scenes, but the Henry/Amanda scene from 2.13 was hilarious and definately one of my favorites! And the scenes with Kenny are always funny, too, because they’re so different from each other.
In general though any Henry scene is good in my book.
I adore the guy.
Gosh, I really wanted to give this some thought.
I love every Henry moment because I think they write well for him and I think CG is great actor, but I think for me, I will pick one from the last episode.
The scene where Henry admits to Betty that he has issue with Gio. I like this scene because it really exemplifes what I love so much about Henry and Betty. Henry is jealous of Gio, and he’s not happy about it, he feels bad and silly for feeling the way he does.
When he gets up from the table and walks away and Betty says “Henry, are you serious?” – she knows, he hasn’t said anything and she still knows what is going on. That is who they are, that is the couple they are. And, she’s not mad about it, she loves him, understands him and reassures him.
He never asks her to give up her friendship with Gio, he just lets her know how he feels in a completely vulnerable and honest exchange. When Henry is true to himself and his emotions and shares that with Betty, he has his best moments for me.
I have to agree with all of the above…ANYTHING that Henry does, I love. BUT..I really did not like the outfit poor CG had to wear in “Bananas for Betty” that Justin put on him. He just looked rediculous!! But one of my MOST favorite scenes was in the “I.C.U.” episode, when Henry falls thru the ceiling and L’manda puts her arms around him and he rolls his eyes up to Betty. The look on his face is hillarious.
You kidding, It’s very hard to choose I absolutely love anything Henry does. But my favorite has to be when he tells Betty he is going to be a father, I just thought Chris did a great job in that scene. Another of my favorites are the scenes with L’amanda too funny, sweet like sugar, soft like suede love it.
ok, so i thought about another favorite scene of Henry and Betty. In “Something Wicked this way comes” when Betty and Henry are under the desk and it the conversation goes something like this:
Betty: “and I thought maybe after the show, we can….continue the date”
Henry: (getting excited, bumps his head under the desk) “yea,…ok. I mean…whatever(real cool like)” (big smile)
karen, you reminded me of my OTHER favorite moment: the code names from “Zero Worship”.
You and your site are obviously anti-Getty. Very sad.
This is so hard! I pretty much love every Henry scene.
Here we go:
My favorite non-Betty scenes are anything involving Kenny. I also loved the “Bee-yuh is a gateway drug” scene with Justin & trampy girl and the above mentioned scene with Amanda and the band. The look on his face when Amanda runs off to call “these guys” is hilarious, followed by the “hey Amanda.”
With Betty and Henry scenes, I think I have two romantic favorites. 1) I really love the bed snuggling scene that is simultaneously romantic, a bit bittersweet, and hilarious. I love how caring both of them are in it, and the conversation about the baby ducks and the “crazy” date to the museum. So cute. I also really like the one Tracy mentioned above–it really exemplified the best of their relationship. Oh, wait. Then there is the amazing get together at the end of “A League of Their Own” and same for the “Wicked” date. Gah. It’s so hard to choose. They have great chemistry.
Funny scenes–everything in “A League of Their Own” from the bowling scene on, anything with Kenny, the whole escapade with L’Amanda and the heating vents, “black dragon”…priceless.
I like how this show you can laugh and cry almost at the same time with characters. Christopher Gorham has good chemistry with the entire cast and is such a great actor that every look on his face shows exactly what Henry is thinking. Great character because he’s such a nice guy, funny, et cetera and so out of place at MODE much like Betty.

I’m trying to make a top 10 Henry moments and its hard to choose!

4.) Napolean Grubstick- SO cute when he dances!
5.) Gangsta Grubstick- “Sweet like sugar soft like suede, but unlike a piano, I never get played.” Enough Said.
6.) The Knight In shining armor!
7.) Drunk Henry- To never mixing wine coolers and antihistemines again!
8.) Superaccountant
and teh list goes on and on!
No! I don’t have an infactuation with Henry at all!

I think of this season one of my favorite Henry moments is from “A League Of..” when H/B are on a “friend” date and it’s after Henry pulls Betty’s chair out-
Betty-”What are you doing?”
Henry-”Oh, ohh- this is for me, sucks to be you!……No seriously you want to sit here??”
Ahaha
I think some of his catch phrases and one liners are very funny too-”Superphat” “Catch Ya Later Calculator” “You know you love it”
And like everyone said already it’s hard to pick a favorite Henry moment, because he has sooo many to choose from. ;D

I think there are a lot of H/B fans on this site, but nothing in this topic is, “anti-getty”?
Actually, Lauren, I’m a Getty fan. But, the show’s writers have their hearts set on Henry, apparently. Plus, I’m outnumbered, so I stay pretty low key.
Truth be told, I’m on the Daniel/Betty ship, myself.
Trust me, the Getty fans are taking over. Sad, but it had to happen sometime. I’m still a Benry fan, but I’m pretty sure like everyone but the writers have moved on to Gio
i’m sorry…..but i just can’t see Betty with Gio. and i can’t see what everyone sees in him. Henry is so good for Betty and Betty is so good for him. As for the whole Daniel/Betty thing…that would be a huge mistake!! it would definately be the”jumping the shark”. NEVER put the boss with the assistant! will ruin the show!
