Ugly Betty On French Magazine Cover, Needs Help In France

Apparently, Ugly Betty’s ratings in France have not been so good, but there’s still hope. French television Magazine Arthelius, in the issue that hits the stands February 12, has two alternate covers, and one of them features Ugly Betty.
If you’re wondering why the French haven’t yet taken to Ugly Betty, here’s why: the French network TF1is airing 3 episodes each Monday, the third one starting at around midnight! No wonder. However, Arthelius is encouraging its readers to watch the show – because as we all know, once people are exposed to Ugly Betty, they can’t resist.
Let’s hope Ugly Betty gets a better time slot, and hopefully, better ratings in France!

The Ugly Betty cover is far superior, IMHO.
Here in Italy is the same in France: last year UB was aired two episodes at time, and since prime time starts very late you can imagine what hour it ended.. here like in France doesn’t exist the culture of tv series: they aired much episodes only hoping to finish soon. However, hopefully it seems to start spreading the idea of a night with more than one series .. for example this year there’s a evening with one episode of Ghost Whisperer and one of Desperate Housewives, that thanks to that has increased its ratings. I hope that could do something similar even with Betty (what about a night with Grey’s anatomy like in USA?)
Thanks. In France, they somtime choose very weird timeslot for tv series. When TF1 decided to air 3 episodes each monday, it was ovious they wanted to get rid of Ugly Betty asap.
Well, at least they didn’t cancell it. But Betty deserve better than this.
I’ve seen some of UB in French. I think its popularity is hurt by some unfortunate voiceover choices.

I am French and I must say that you are absolutely correct regarding the dissemination Tf1 were poor fool who baclé this series meiveilleuse disseminating 3 episodes every Monday night not surprising that there ai no audience me I admit I am very deçue what they are because I still do not understand why we do it ceci.D even more qu’Ugly Betty is a really great series!
And I must also say that you also have reason dubbing and french disastrous and the worst I think it is the voice of Gio voice they have chosen not contain actual pas du tout his character decidedly they really made any through!
It is for all these reasons that I continurais watching VO because I think it is miles better times!
And for those who have not watched in France Ugly Betty too bad for them they passed next to a wonderful series!
