Ugly Betty Episode 2.13 Live Reaction Post
Come join us as we watch the last new Ugly Betty for a while. Tonight’s episode is 2.13: A Thousand Words By Friday. The synopsis:
Betty gets an assignment from Daniel to interview “Phil Roth,” thinking it’s a sit down with the great novelist, but later learning this Phil Roth is a writer who has penned a series of books about picking up women. Meanwhile Daniel hooks up with a sexy new lady, Renee (guest star Gabrielle Union), only to learn they have a shocking connection to each other, and Amanda and Marc hatch a plan to reach out to the man they believe is Amanda’s biological dad.
This episode will guest star Gene Simmons and Gabrielle Union.

Well, let’s see who Betty chooses. Here we go!
We start in Queens. Ooohhh, like Betty’s haircut. Henry plays in a band? Oh, he’s the manager.
Wilhelmina has Christina held up in her closet. The near hug between them was funny. OMG, the band is terrible! My my, Gabrielle Union is gorgeous.
Dang - Amanda is going to write a song for Gene Simmons. This should be good. Cool, Daniel just gave a writing assignment to Betty. Claire says, “That’s not the boob you think it is!” HAHAHA!
Betty has to interview the guy who wrote “Tap That”. This is rich.
You’re a giver! ASS - I smell a Pulitzer! Amanda walks in and helps him prove his theories.
Funny - “You are literally judging a book by its cover”. Wilhelmina in the shower! THe look on Daniel’s face was priceless.
Wanda (Wilhelmina), and Rhonda (Renee) - that’s too good. Dang it - Amanda’s going to sing with Henry’s band!
You know what’s funny, Justin’s voice is changing. OMG - Henry just got a pretty blonde’s phone number! Looks like we’re going to have a competition.
Game on, sandwich boy! Both men are having luck using Phil Roth’s techniques. This is hilarious.
Claire is quite mad. Renee is coming on strong.
Henry won the contest. Hilda is also defending Phil Roth. Betty tells Daniel that he should go for it with Renee. Something doesn’t seem right about this, though.
BTW, for all you Henry fans, as of 8:36, I’d say the man with which Betty is on solid footing would still be Henry. Gio is still a dawg.
Love Amanda’s song! And I love Marc’s speech. Oooooh. Claire’s going to start a magazine called HotFlash. Daniel used Phil Roth’s techniques on Betty to get her to write the article. This should be an interesting confrontation.
Interesting - Daniel loved her story, but Alexis pulled it. She’s not mad at Daniel anymore.
Nice, touching moment between Henry and Betty. Betty’s going to stay away from Gio.
Oh, this is great - GENE SIMMONS IS MY DADDY!!! I’ve got to see this on YouTube!!!! Hilarious! It turns out he reallyis her father. Loved the look on Marc’s face when Gene said Cher was really pissed off.
Henry and Betty are good rappers. It takes two.
Prologue - Wilelmina: (to Renee) I hope he never discovers the truth about you.
