Vanessa Williams Shines In Tribute To Diana Ross
December 26, 2007 by Tom
Here’s something you don’t want to miss: tonight, the 30th Annual Kennedy Center Awards air on CBS tonight at 9:00 EST, and Vanessa Williams is front and center. Along with Leon Fleisher, Steve Martin, Martin Scorsese and Brian Wilson, Diana Ross is being honored. And as part of the musical tribute, there is a performance by Ugly Betty’s own Vanessa Williams!

Williams looks absolutely lovely here, and it’s cool to once again see her in her musical element, where she shines even more than as a comedienne. From the show press release:
Ross appears genuinely touched by the performance of Tony Award nominee and Emmy Award nominee Vanessa Williams, who belts out “Touch Me in the Morning.”
Goody – that’s one of my favorite Diana Ross songs ! (I guess I’m showing my age).
This one will definitely be going on my DVR, the whole show looks to be spectacular! Look at who will be there:
Yolanda Adams, Jonathan Biss, Steve Carell, Kristin Chenoweth, Ciara, Francis Ford Coppola, Robert De Niro, Cameron Diaz, Art Garfunkel, Hootie & The Blowfish, Terrence Howard, Bill Irwin, Ricky Jay, Jaime Laredo, Libera, Lyle Lovett, Yo-Yo Ma, Anna Netrebko, Smokey Robinson, Earl Scruggs, Martin Short, Jordin Sparks and Vanessa Williams
President and Mrs. George W. Bush, Vice President and Mrs. Richard B. Cheney And Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Are Among the Political Attendees.
Vanessa Williams, Hootie, Steve Carell - I can’t wait!
