Ausiello Spoiler: Lindsay Lohan Ugly Betty Update
Will she or won’t she? We’ve reported the on-again, off again possibility of Lindsay Lohan being a guest star on Ugly Betty. Some don’t like the idea, but I think it would be wonderful casting. What would appear to be a stunt on other shows works perfectly on Ugly Betty because of its glam and celebrity nature.
Lucy Liu, Victoria Beckham, various designers, so many others - they have all done an Ugly Betty stint (was Vera Wang not GREAT?)
Well, today, TV Guide’s Ausiello fills us in on the future (at least, the immediate future):
Question: Please tell me that Lindsay Lohan is not going to be on Ugly Betty. What a way to ruin a great show with stupid stunt casting. — Mike
Ausiello: You’re in luck: They weren’t able to get a deal done in time to squeeze her into any of the remaining pre-strike episodes. Of course, that’s not to say it couldn’t happen after the strike is resolved.
Darn. I figured that was the case. But, it may be for the best. Maybe Ms Lohan can use the extra time to work on getting her life straight. Perhaps she could have a day of public service, like Wilhelmina? :) Nevertheless, I’m hoping it happens; if anything, since America Ferrera told Lohan to “Get A Job” in a passive-aggressive kind of way, the irony would be beautiful.
