He says he overheard (she has a loud family). He reminds her that everyone she knows is trying to keep her from being alone, preventing them from seeing each other. She asks Christina if she ever secretly, really wanted a “drink” even though everyone warned her about drinking. Christina thinks Betty is talking about her, so Betty changes the subject to “donuts”. At this time, Henry walks in to talk to Christina. Betty and Henry glance at each other romantically. After he leaves, Christiana says “Oh my God, He’s your donuts!”

At the same time, she’s says,”It’s also hot!” Chrsitina then tells Betty that she will be her cover for the night, but that Betty has to “take that donut, and bite it, and put it in your coffee, and get it hot, and warm, and wet, and bite into it again, and oh, God, I need a drink!” Betty replies, “I need a donut!” (Best exchange of this episode).

Marc replies, “Oh, what does WANG know about BONING anyway?”
Wilhelmina is eating a hero sandwich to try to gain weight. Betty passes by, eating. Wilhelmina says “Look at her, she makes it seem so easy”. Marc then tells her about Nico being bit by her pet monkey and not being able to make it to the wedding. Nico was going to be her maid of honor. Marc suggests he stay with Wilhelmina to help her get everything planned. He calls Cliff and breaks their date with the excuse that Wilhelmina is making him stay late. Later, Wilhelmina is eating a drumstick, while Marc helps her plan the wedding. Cliff arrives with fancy takeout - Wilhelmina thins it’s for her and takes it. Amanda walks up, Marc will not introduce Cliff as his boyfriend. This enrages Cliff, and he breaks up with Marc.
Amanda rushes Marc to the ladies room and confronts him about dating Cliff (not being his type and all). Marc tells her how conflicted he is, because he’s never dated someone like Cliff, but really likes him. He says he doesn’t want to end up sad and alone, like Wilhelmina. He tells Amanda that Nico made up the monkey excuse because she simply doesn’t like her mother. At this time, Wilhelmina flushes a toilet and steps out of a stall. She silently washes her hands and walks out. Marc walks into her office with pork rinds. She tells Marc to go home. She is upset about Nico. Marc then calls Cliff to apologise, apparently to ask him to come to the wedding with him.

Betty tries to give him suggestions for better fliers, (she suggest “Hero Worship” with a picture of a sandwich flexing his muscle); Gio says he’s already printed a thousand fliers. Betty says she is not dating Henry. “I am dating…HIM!” She points to Gio who is walking by. She flexes her muscle at him and smiles. Later, Daniel walks in and presents Betty with a sandwich. Inside is the ad for Wicked. Daniel got Betty and Gio tickets for the show.
Daniel meets with people from Prada to sell advertising. Betty asks if the tickets had come in yet, and Daniel says he gave them to Gio. Gio insists that if he’s going to play Betty’s boyfriend, she has to tell him the whole story before he’ll give her the ticket. Betty tells him all. She calls him a “very rude fake boyfriend”. Gio only gives her one ticket and holds onto the other. Betty is angry, and gives him back her ticket. Betty then runs into Amanda and compliments her sweater. Amanda starts to return the favor, but can’t find anything in Betty to compliment. Betty asks Amanda if she can get her more tickets to Wicked. Amanda says she’ll do it if Betty walks Halston for a month - in her bathing suit.
Becks (the photographer) is coming on to swimsuit models. He tells Daniel that this year the summer will be “kind to the big girls” (meaning big breasted). Daniel tells Becks that all of his attempts to sell advertising have failed. Becks suggests to Daniel that he should seduce Sandra Winthrop (from Winthrop Jewelry)to get her advertising. “Over 50, and foxy!”, he says.
At the theater, Betty arrives with Henry, excited. He holds her hand, because “we don’t know anybody here”. They then see Gio, who has arrived with his little sister, Antonella.. She insults Betty, then they turn and see Daniel arriving with Sandra Winthrop. They quickly decide that Betty should sit with Gio, and Antonella with Henry. (Because Daniel will fire Henry if he is dating Betty). Daniel tells Betty that their seats are right next to each other. During the show, Betty send romantic text messages to Henry. Gio tells Betty that it appears that Daniel is seducing Sandra. Betty then lectures Daniel about this.
Gio puts his arm around Betty to make a good show of things, but this enrages Henry. They meet in the lobby, and argue. Henry leaves Betty in the lobby. During a beautiful song, he rejoins her in the lobby. At this time, Daniel walks around the corner with Sandra. Betty and Henry run to hide somewhere. They end up backstage. Daniel and Sandra go into the coat room for a tryst. Daniel sees Betty’s coat and decides that he can’t go through with the seduction. He then gives Sandra his best sales pitch, and she, impressed, says her people will call him in the morning. He then tries to continue the seduction, but she turns him down because he’s “too smart” (irony).
Betty and Henry end up in a large prop, kissing. At this time, it rises and goes on stage, with them on it, ruining the performance. Betty and Henry get kicked out and banned for life. As they are leaving, Betty rushes back in to get her purse and coat. Daniel confronts her, and calls the relationship “stupid”. Betty is devastated - when Henry hails a cab for them, she leaves him there. She goes home to Hilda, who calls her “stupid”, but for NOT savoring every moment with Henry (remembering Santos). Hilda tells her to “go, the clock is ticking!”
Betty arrives at Henry’s apartment; they have a silent, romantic moment, and she comes into his apartment as “Gravity” plays in the background. They kiss, and close the door.
