Ugly Betty Episode 2.05 Live Reaction Post

Much to Henry’s distress, Betty tries internet dating and gets asked out on a bowling date. Meanwhile Marc finds himself attracted to someone who isn’t his type, chubby but charming photographer Cliff (David Blue). On the home front, Daniel and Alexis steel themselves for a “family” dinner with step-mom-to-be Wilhelmina, and Hilda, lost in her own world, doesn’t notice that Justin is ditching school and running with the wrong crowd.

This should be outstanding, with Marc getting a not-his-type love interest, Justin getting into trouble, and of course, near naked Henry.  Join us for all the fun, won’t you?  Ugly Betty airs at 8PM EDT.

I wonder if the Henry scene is s dream sequence.  We’ll see!

A mass transit conversation.  Betty spurns Henry.  They arrange to NOT see each other.  Then they run into each other.

Hilda’s letting Justin run wild.  No bagel, but a Danish!  Henry’s at Wilhelmina’s meeting.  52% of the advertisers have dropped Mode.  It will be out of business in 90 days.

I can’t believeYoga is the same actress that played Shambala Green on Law and Order.  Claire will not go overseas.

OMG , the underwear model isn’t Henry!  She imagines his face on the model’s body. AHA!

Betty’s photos are funny!  “Guys don’t make passes at girls who are fat…”

Marc with the underwear model.  Great.  Hilda has made widow friends.  It’s a little strange.

Cliff is very likeable.  Here’s Kenny!  He is hilarious.  South Side, Yo!  A Betty Biscuit – OMG, this guy is great.  Betty found a date online.

This episode is moving well. I can actually keep up, and they are letting Michael Urie do his thing.

The beach is a good place to die.  I think I know these old ladies!  Justin just stole the car keys.

Claire just got an inviation to the wedding (addressed to her friend).  Ignacio is laying down the law with Hilda – good.

This golden boy’s gotta go wash ink off his boobs!  Line of the year…

The blind date is disappointed.  Don’t think he’s coming back.  Henry sees, how sad.  Oh, and Christina’s husband found her.  She only barely mentioned him last season.

Dang,Marc just stood up Cliff.  Henry’s trying to save Betty.  A pet bird, bird flu.  Two gutterballs – these two are great together.  Bowling sucks!

Cliff lets Marc have it.  I really like this guy. Alexis is getting flashbacks.  OMG, Claire is going to shoot Wilhelmina!  Well, that’s one icebreaker, I guess.

Yoga comes to the rescue.  Claire decides to go to Italy. 

The cops bring Justin home.  He crashed the car into a tree. I think Hilda’s ready to get rid of the cemetary ladies.

That was the first time “Alex” appeared on camera, if only in flashback.

“He got another girl pregnant.”.  Everyone thinks he proposed!  Oh, that’s sad, she walked out on him.

If somebody’s going to die, I really hope it’s Bradford.  He’s the least likeable character on the show.

Alexis confesses that she tried to kill Bradford.  This is a very good scene with Justin and Hilda. Sad. Very well acted, though.

Marc is at Cliff’s apartment.  Nice scene.

Henry is trying so hard.  Betty asks Henry to quit Mode.  Then she comes back and kisses him!  They are “together”, at least for 5 months – “as time goes by”.
