New Poll: Funniest Moment From 2 Season Premiere?
We’ve talked quite a bit about the sad aspects of last night’s premiere of Ugly Betty, now let’s talk about the funny ones! There were so many hilarious one-liners last night that I couldn’t possibly put them all into a poll, so I stuck with some of the wider themes.
Amanda’s parents (and her and Marc’s reaction) were probably the most funny moment of the episode, but I tried not to laugh too hard because my kids were with me, and I didn’t want to have to answer probing questions about swinging right then.
The telenovela was brilliant (someone who speaks Spanish, tell me how they did), and it was funny in a “wow, look at that!” kind of way.
Marc trimming Bradford’s ear hair was the gross-out moment of the show (and I loved the line - “Never send a girl to do a woman’s job”)
But my favorite was when Wilhelmina insisted that the skinnier natural disaster victims be in the front of the “after” photo, and Sheila, without missing a beat says to one of the victims: “Famine…makeup…now!” That whole scene was just hilarious, in the original spirit of of the show. Betty refusing to eat Famine’s bagel was pretty wry, too.
Don’t forget, the bird on Betty’s shoulder to complete the pirate look, “Mother! (If that’s her real name…)”, Fashion Elf, Marc dressed as Wilhemina, “You look like two fat girls hugging”, “She was a hootchie in a bob”, “That’s the kind of dirty that don’t wash clean”.
Anyway, that was the part that made me laugh the loudest. What was yours?
