Ugly Betty: Beginnings and Endings
Dont forget, tonight ABC airs the wonderful, extremely powerful season finale of Ugly Betty, East Side Story. Not only did it have the usual cliffhangers, it made us laugh, and broke our hearts. I think Survivor has pretty much run its course, so if you haven’t yet seen this episode of Ugly Betty, or even if you have, check it out before next week’s Season 2 premiere.
ABC is now streaming episodes of Ugly Betty (along with other ABC shows) on AOL Video.
Since it is available, I took the opportunity to rewatch the pilot of the show this evening. It’s the episode that won America Ferrera her Emmy, and now I see why. She was absolutely brilliant in it. I had not noticed how subtle her performance was, how she told a story with her eyes. I also realise now just what a great job Eric Mabius did in the pilot. It may have been his best performance of the year. And now, looking back on the pilot, I see just how little Marc was in the show in the beginning. He really was an afterthought.
But it’s interesting, to see the pilot anew, now that we’ve come to care for the characters so much. The sad moments were more sad, the triumphs more joyful. I am just so glad I found this show.

So, i just watched the first episode of Ugly Betty, and guess what…. Santos is really dead!!!!! ik, i can’t believe it either! Well, anywho, u should all really check it out. it is soooo funny!!! But now i feel awful about some of the things that have been happening. Like how Fey is really Amanda’s mother and Bradford Mead is her real father! oyg, u really need to check this out!!!

steph - that was a little unbelievable (OK, a lot). As someone who has gained (and lost) that amount of weight a few times, I can tell you it takes at least several months. ;)
But, they were just having fun with the idea,and from the looks of the promo pics for the upcoming episodes, she drops the pounds almost as fast. Once again, I know from experience, unbelievable. ;)
But it was fun. It was funny that she was kind of oblivious to it all, too.

I say leave her alone. She is neither obese nor anorexic. She had a beautiful figure before the weight loss, and she has a beautiful figure after. Let’s applaude her for what she has accomplished.
